Matese Pizzeria & Ristorante — Restaurant in New York

The manager of this place is extremely rude and he’s very unfriendly me and my family we were very hungry when we heard this place was a good place to eat. It was right across the street from a beautiful school but boy we were wrong. This place is a nightmare. I ordered a pie a regular Sicilian slice Zeppoli’s and a chicken Parm hero let’s start off with the regular pie. It was an old pie that is has been sitting. On the counter for probably over two hours the Sicilian slice was completely Zeppoli’s had not 1 ounce of sugar couldn’t the spare the sugar for the zeppoles guess not the chicken cutlet Parm hero they took the chicken cutlet, and they smashed it, cut it all up in different pieces and they took the pieces and they shoved into the sandwich. They took a big chunk of sauce and basically smeared all Over cutlet just a mess when I called the manager to explain to me what happened to my order he give me a whole bunch of excuses and then he blames it on Uber. He says because I didn’t order from His store directly and because I order from Uber it’s their fault, but how he cooks his food. The manager at this place does not like Uber at all and any orders are placed on Uber. The food is going to come back horrible instead he wants you to order directly from him if you have delivery from him you got to stand with the delivery guy swipe your card to a credit card machine and a whole big hassle this will be the last time I order from them and I recommend everybody reading this post does the same not a good...

Being a loyal customer for some time even though the pizza is not best and now being disrespected for finding hairs in the pizza cheese is a NO NO! Found hairs in their pizza and another time a dead fly is unacceptable! Their counter person Mark is disrespectful making clown like remarks that are not funny but offending is NOT the proper way to run a business and earn trust from their customers! They give 4 paper plates when you buy a pie of 8 slices shows how they look to cut corners saving every penny they can and making their customers unhappy to take the time to write a review of this nature. Their owner Joe is only concerned about how much profit he can put in his pocket instead of dong the right thing for the customers. I have given this place numerous chances but all has failed. I do not recommend Matese at all, their pizza is getting worse & worse and they are making you pay for hairs & dead flies in their cheese. I have pictures of it all and my father has all texts documented from owner Joe to counterman Mark so it can not be denied! You guys lost a loyal customer that was their two times a week and tried to charge for a pie when you said you would do the right thing, and then not willing to give paper plates.. So to sum this up my advice is bring your hard earned money elsewhere and not here especially when the pizza doesn’t even taste like a NY slice & comes with hairs...

Outstanding service they cook my spaghetti with a nice sauce very nice and a nice portion also my vehicle parmesan on a plate with cheese on it was beautiful they cooked it slow soft and tender I thought I was really in the real restaurant instead of a pizzeria rated 10 stars or five stars easy and I would tell other people about it it looks like a pizzeria but when you eat you think you're in a restaurant the people serve you good and they take care of their clients and always nice and clean I recommend it to anybody you be surprised and I've been to many pizzerias and many restaurants I usually go to frost in Brooklyn your video compared to them it's like I don't know maybe it's the chef in the back or is the boss Joe doing a good job but they take their job serious and all the work is very responsible God bless everybody...
