(los jefes y los obreros aquí se habla español.) EDIT: I've been coming here a lot lately, and had decided to do so after my 16 hour shift at work last evening into this morning. I digress. Because I've been dining out from here so often, I've noticed that their food is not all that appealing. Their crispy chicken sandwich is never crispy. I ordered it twice since the first time disappointed, but they both did. Then, what gets me all the time is how the managers speak to their staff.
Without your staff, YOU HAVE NO JOB. So, instead of yelling at them to work a certain way, talk to them like they're human beings. This one manager (for my order) looked at the young associate in the face like "call out the order! She's right there! It's not that hard" The associate was SUPER embarrassed, didn't even acknowledge or look me in the eye and put their head down in shame.
Their turnover is probably horrendous here. I LITERALLY never see the same employees. Probably short staffed with people calling out left and right. I DON'T blame them.
The lack of management skills is also the reason why their food isn't up to par as well.
This being the only McDonald's in the area, mind you.
Stay away until they get better.
On a side note though, the window washer always does a fantastic job.
(End edit)
I usually come in here for a once-in-a-few-months treat or an emotional baggage filled day; today, it was the ladder. Deciding not to order on the mobile app, i decided to go with the meal of of sausage, egg and cheese mcgriddle, a hash brown, and a large black coffee. The associate that helped me out was so nice and sweet. She was polite and even updated me on how my order was doing. She made this trip quite enjoyable, especially since it's been a rough morning for me personally. In the background, i heard managers and associates speaking in Spanish so it was awesome to hear that this location is good for bilingual. I enjoyed that the establishment was clean. There was also an associate cleaning the windows as well. Oh, and during the afternoon, the drive thru is ALWAYS busy, so be wary if...
Read moreThe food at the McDonald's on the corner of Williamsbridge and Silver Street in Bronx, NY, is okay but served promptly, however the cookie and pastry trays are left out in the open when they should be covered up prior to baking.
I've been coming to this McDonald's location since the middle eighties and never haver I seen it so unkept. The bathroom is a pig sty where in years past there were 2 bathrooms available for customer use ( 1 ladies, 1 men ) and the the employees had to share the bathrooms with the public. Now the employees have a bathroom all to themselves and the customers have to wait for a long time to use the one bathroom they've designated for both male and female customers alike and the toilet, floor and sink are always filthy and there's no baby diaper change table in there.
The wallpaper and tables and booths are old and worn out and the floor when wet is always slippery. As if they just use soapy water to mop the floors and don't bother to change to regular water to pick up the soapy water from the floor.
There's always food on the floor in the kitchen/food prep area that gets stepped and trampled on instead of swept up. It's disgusting and just seems to me like those who work there just don't care about where they work at or what they're doing there and I Know they can do better. I just wish they would.
It's a shame to see a store that's been a neighborhood fixture suffer from neglect and laziness. As much as I hate to say it, I'm going to stop coming here and take my business to another better managed location.
I would advise everyone else to...
Read moreI could never get a burger that Is freshly made even after requesting for it to be made on the grill. I’m going to start calling there corporate headquarters to put my complaints in for now and on, since it all starts with the store management training the workers. It’s a franchise and I’m sure the franchise headquarters care how the restaurants are treating the customers.
I never have this problem when I’m in New Jersey or out of state it’s only in the bronx and New York McDonalds that love serving burgers that are sitting in there warmers, god knows how long those burgers just sit in there, those burgers that are in the warmers are either cold or luke warm, I’ve gotten sick from those burgers in the past. I’ve also seen when they pull out the Warmer tray and observed burgers in there that were literally sitting in a pool of what appeared to be water. (YUCK!!)
That’s why I always request for everything to be done/cooked fresh.
There is a huge difference in quality and taste when you get a burger that’s been sitting in there warmer and a burger that was taken out fresh off the grill. A burger from the warmer is either cold or luke warm.
A burger that comes out the grill is piping hot, and when you lift up the bun to see if they actually gave you a fresh burger you will see lots of steam come up and burger is hot to the touch.
To the manager please train your workers to give the customers what they ask for. It only takes 5 minutes tops to cook a burger on the grill. Tell your employees to...
