A hidden gem. We where looking for good Chinese inspired food closer to where we were staying near the JFK airport before heading to the airport. It was rush time and it was 13 minutes away from JFK. Took us sometime to find parking but it was worth it. The place is not fancy but the food is so delicious, very generous portion and great value for money. There are two tables, seating area is very humble, best for take away orders. It is family run and you can see the fresh vegetables being prepared at the back of the counter. I got Shrimp Chow mein and my son got chicken green curry. I have not had good tasting food in so long. They bake their own bread, but I haven't tried that. Staff were very friendly and I am glad I tried this place, I will go again if I am in NY and I highly...
Read moreSo I went there a Friday to get lunch for the first time. I had 2 house special fried rice and cassava ball and the egg ball. Now for me the cassava balls were bomb they were really good, the egg ball was ok idk but something was off with it kinda sour some part also for my hours special fried rice (chicken, beef, shrimp &egg ) the beef was a bit too chewy and not much flavor also the rice and shrimp could use more flavor the shrimp was tasteless the food could use a bit more seasonings, but over all the customer service was great, the place was clean and well kept at the time. The portions were worth the money. For my first time there is was a 7/10.I have decided to go back again either way because I love that there menu has a wide range to chose from and I might end up...
Read moreLove this place! My family is 100% guayanese and I came here with my parents for some Guyanese-Chinese fried rice and chow mein.
The food was AWESOME. We got fried rice, chow mein, cheese rolls and cassava rolls.
They have EVERYTHING. Tennis rolls, cassava pone, pine tart, sponge cake, fruit cake, mittai, butter flap, fruit buns, patties, black eye, pholourie.... and anything else you could want from Guyana.
There's enough space for a maybe 10 people to sit down and eat, but it's definitely more of a take out place. They accept credit card with a $10 minimum.
Can't wait to come back...
