When I think about eating at a diner, I often imagine a diner in the middle of a dirt road that offers a place of solace and comfort. In this imagery, painted by movies and television, what makes a diner so warm and homey is the nurturing waitress that is friendly, kind, nurturing, and provides a calming presence. That was Doreen for me, who made my dining experience so warm and comfortable. We had some small talk which helped me relax after a long night taking care of our newly arrived baby girl. When I wanted to change my order, she was prompt and wasn't defensive like some others might be. The food was also plentiful and filling, coming out piping hot and delicious. Although diner foods have been getting more expensive due to inflation, I believe it's worth it especially with the nice little warm and friendly interactions. Thank you Doreen, for making this experience so calming and enjoyable. Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:

Been here many times since the late 90s to present. Food has changed in taste. I asked once if their fries were cooked separate from the non-veg foods, was told yes so I trusted that was the truth since I've been a customer before I could even reach the pedals on a car. When returned a next time, I asked again just for confirmation, and they said no, it's all cooked in same oil.😡 I didnt appreciate being lied to especially since I don't eat meats or contaminates for religious purposes. Highly wrong in that aspect and who ever told to just say "yes" to my question was immorally wrong. Other than that, the hot chocolate was ok. 🤷‍♀️ Updated....visited recently, not only my meal but my family members' meals were not that great this time around. Maybe they are having an off day, but quality was not even close to par. No complaints on the service though.

Cravings for a gyro lead us to Mikes olympic diner. A colleague had raved of their gyros!! So on a Saturday afternoon we walked in, it did not seem busy. Donna our waitress immediately sat us and brought back 2 glasses of water. We knew we wanted GYROs so we opt for the platter which is a huge serving of lamb meat, salad, pita and french fries. It was amazing. All was fresh and delishes! The tzaziki sauce was a little watery from what im used to but still tasty. She also brought out 2 Amstel lights that were already ice cold and served in a frosted mug, perfect to quench a summer thirst! The place was cleaned the staff amicable and attentive. Has a very relax feel and no dress code. I will come here for brunch when I have a lazy day, want to stay local and/ or in my PJs/sweats.

Never again. First we ordered coke and got Diet Coke. I was assured that the reason it tasted funny was because it was fountain soda. Until the gentlemen behind me complained that his soda was diet and the 95 year old waitress changed it for him. Pretty sure my wife my friend and myself all had diet as well. Ordered two ROAST BEEF paninis with aujus and a CAJUN chicken cordon blue panini. When the order came out it was two homestyle chicken melts with chicken fingers bacon and cheese. And a grilled chicken one. We tried calling the waitress over for a while finally she came to the table and argued with us that she wrote down honestly chicken and we never order d roast beef. I assured her that we k ow what we said out loud and know what we both ordered. She complained that had we said roast beef she would have written down roast beef. 40 mins later we got our roast beef paninis. The Cajun panini was just plain grilled chicken ham and Swiss no Cajun seasoning. And all three paninis were old squashed Sandwich rolls! The roast beef had absolutely no flavor and was horribly dry. The waitress forgot the aujus dip when we finally got her attention she brought us one small cup for the both of us to dip one sandwich into. And got an attitude when we asked for a second dip because we had to sandwiches! When the manager asked her what was wrong she told him right in front of us they ordered chicken paninis and changed their minds to roast beef after they had already came out of the kitchen. At this point I really wanted to just get up and leave my food. I didn't eat it I wrapped it to go. Last but not least my meal came with dessert. Chocolate pudding. Had to be a month old chunky thick slimy and disgusting and the whip cream tasted sour. Absolutely stomach turning. Management is of no help. I will never eat here again and I will tell everyone I know to avoid it...

Don't order the buffalo chicken salad unless you don't mind your mouth on FIRE! I could hardly eat any of it, although I did try. I've had buffalo chicken salads so many times at so many different places but this was unbearable! I'm a fan of spicy food but it was like this cook just soaked the chicken in the hot sauce and honestly I don't know how he cooked it but it was not good, not good at all! Then my friend ordered the BLT with turkey and pastrami. There was no mayo on the bread and she had to ask for it. If these things weren't bad enough, the pastrami was terribly dry. We were starving and pressed for time, we didn't want to start all over again so we did our best to salvage some of my salad and she picked out the turkey, which was moist and ate that without the bread. We told the waIter, decent guy with the gold tooth and he said he was sorry about the pastrami but that when you order buffalo chicken it's going to be spicy hot. I then explained that I ordered it other places and never experienced this before. When he came back with our check, he offered us free desert, our choice of a cookie or pound cake. Being we were pressed for time, he wrapped the dessert to go. Honestly, I know this place has been there forever but as I type this I doubt that cook has been there from the start and my suggestion to the owner is sit down to both of these entrees and experience the need to make a change. News Flash....the free courtesy pound cake...

UPDATE: I have since ordered from here several times since my last review, always delivery, which is somewhat prompt. A few items I have ordered from them I would NOT recommend but that’s just my opinion. I personally loooove their pies and except for the ONE TIME that I found HAIR IN MY RAVIOLI, pretty solid for diner. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Their direct website does NOT work for online ordering. You can create an entire cart, press checkout, enter cc info, then after pressing submit, simply says transaction failed. Happens every time. Very frustrating. Even called the customer service number to report this- but it will ring and ask you to press an option, then call will disconnect before ever speaking to anyone. Hence why these issues haven’t been fixed. End up having to place order over phone, and customer service varies, sometimes you score with someone nice and attentive, or you don’t. Even tell the person on phone what has happened, and if you get the latter, I could almost hear them just shrug their shoulders and say “ oh well that’s online now you’re ordering with me”, and all I wanted to confirm was that my card wasn’t charged and I wasn’t placing a 2ND order. And phone orders always seem to come out to be more expensive, still don’t understand if I’m ordering the exact same things. Again, very frustrating. Makes you want to cancel order completely and just purchase from...
