Review: 9/13/25 After a very hectic day, needed a bit of comfort that only Mexican food at the time could give. I live near wonderful Mexican restaurants in NY but wanted a burrito from Moe's.
Took the long, traffic intense ride to Baychester Mall from Midtown. First time visiting Moe's Southwest in the Bronx, was thinking this was a stand alone restaurant.
GPS took me to the parking lot of JC Penny's, shocked JC Penny's was still in business, but, I'm a good sport. Call Moe's to get better directions.
Well this Moe's is located in the food court by JC Penny's at BayChester Mall. Trying to be a good sport, and keep an open mind.
The reviews had the location as 4.5 so placed my order. No white meat chicken, according to the guy, Corporate only sent dark meat chicken seasoned with Adobo. Still trying to be a good sport because at this point, I am starving! No sauce bar, no refills, and the prices are much higher than any Moe's I have ever been too. All negatives for me, especially when being purchased at a mall food court.
Still trying to be a good sport, took a bite out of the burrito, and I almost gagged. It was absolutely disgusting! No way was I going to suffer with this overpriced, terrible tasting burrito. The staff are all very nice. But I returned that burrito. My husband hated his but went ahead and took one for the team.
Would I recommend this location: No!
Would I return: No!
Do you get value for your money: No! Food is overpriced!
The atmosphere is a food court...
Read moreOne of the only locations you'll find in the Bronx, this Mo's is located in the food court at the mall at Bay Plaza. I always like to use the app to order ahead, and by the time I park my car and make my way up there the food is usually ready. The mall itself is located conveniently near several highways, which in my opinion makes this particular location ideal. You can order ahead, pull in on your way home or out, pick the food up, and be on your way in relatively quick fashion. If you are concerned about parking, don't use the mall parking, but rather the parking lots literally adjacent to the mall. All of those parking lots are free, but the mall parking lot charges $3 for all-day parking. You can very quickly park by the Applebee's walk across the street and be in the mall in three minutes time. Overall high quality food, it's different from Chipotle and Qdoba, which I appreciate. And my orders are always accurately fields which is extremely nice! I also love the location because there's tons of other food there, so even if you are in the mood for Mexican, and someone else isn't, there's tons of different options literally in that...
Read moreHost : Chaouky Pretty bad experience here. My brother and I came to get lunch and the two women working the section neglected to give my brother his drink so we proceeded to wait for it thinking it was coming up. After a few minutes of them taking another guys order, giving him free food and a free drink, I finally confronted them asking for the drink. At this point I think the supervisor was out on the floor and overheard me asking for the drink. She claimed that she gave us the “Diet Coke” my brother didn’t order but that she gave to the other guy before finishing to attend to us. She claimed she already handed it to us and we showed her everything in our bag and didn’t move from the location since paying. Luckily the guy that came out believed us and handed us our drink! I’m just upset that we were literally the only customers there prior to the guy she gave free food came and she couldn’t even remember handing us our drink before giving everything to a non...
