Mr Nosh — Restaurant in New York

Even with some bad reviews, I gave this place a try after many years. A few good orders and good food but tonight showed terrible customer service with a dishonest and rude owner/manager. Website orders are delivered by door dash. They dropped our order and things cracked & spilled all over. I called restaurant (not thrilled to have the bother of dealing with it by his tone & he tried giving me door dash # first), said he'd call back & was told we'd get a refund. Hubby dried off, saved what he could & trashed the rest in apt garbage chute. Manager/owner called back saying door dash wants pictures, said my hubby dropped the order and is sending someone to pick up the order (he probably wanted to make $ on another order or why threaten this b/c I found out more after). I told him it's in the apt garbage chute & I can't get it back. So he said then it's our loss and not getting a refund. Hubby was so furious he didn't want to touch food from such a horrible guy and I was annoyed that the driver's stupid slip almost ruined our whole night...no thanks to the restaurant for good customer service but when hubby refused to touch food from such a rude place, I tried calling door dash. Door dash was the epitome of what good and normal customer service is...said they already emailed my refund and we could salvage what we could from the order and that he knew that it was the driver's mistake. He said they weren't sending a driver to pick up the dropped bag and didn't need pictures. Hubby never wants to order from here again b/c of owner/manager attitude and dishonesty. Yes times are hard, but kindness goes a long way. You're in an industry that survives on good customers. Why would you be so dishonest and rude...

Don't advertise free delivery if you actually charge for delivery certain hours. I live close by and wanted a quick delivery for dinner. I've been going to this place since I was in high-school. The "manager" told me " there is a new rule that after 9 o clock you MUST tip the driver at least $3 or we won't deliver it. I spoke with Avraham who did not seem to care one bit about the business. I told him "how can you advertise free delivery, maybe you shouldnt advertise free delivery. Very sarcastically he told me" perhaps". He kept insulting me and seemed very oblivious to what was going on. I said "you're false advertising" and he told me " well do you want to take this to court?" I asked " why are you not even even trying to help me, do you not care at all? How are you okay with this" he told me "well it effects you more than it effects me " meaning "I'm getting paid for this whether you order food or not. I DONT care" He kept insulting me and didn't even pretend to care about my situation. And when I asked him "do you not even care about the business?" his response to me was " no, I said I don't care about the business YOU give us. " that is a disgusting way to talk to a customer who has been ordering from there LITERALLY since the day it opened. Something must be done about this associate, because he will drive this business to the ground just by being so aloof and on top of that insulting long time customers. After years of giving this place my very frequent business, I am finally done with you Mr nosh. I'll take my long term business elsewhere thank...

OK so where do I actually start? 🤔...this place has the slowest service. You would think that with absolutely no orders or customer's they would be moving fast with your simple 2 orders of food. But no!.. slower than ever. I was told it would only take 10 minutes. Yet it turned out to be more like 30minutes. Not to mention I was in a rush and couldn't have made it more obvious by letting him know. So if you've honestly made this far into reading you should definitely hear this. This place not only has no lunch specials but they charge for a simple portion of food almost 20 dollars!!. Absolute rip off if you ask me. I paid for 2 portions of food. Which was a reg sesame chicken & white rice & a moo goo guy steamed chicken 37 freaking dollars!!. That's astronomically expensive!! Compared to any other kosher Chinese food in Brooklyn. To conclude what I'm saying. Stay away from this place and don't give them business. They think they because of covid they can price gouge like this. I think not.
