That Sushi Spot — Restaurant in New York

The food is good. I do expect better from them. The sweat sauce was all filled with sentiments, was really weird.

Spicy mayo was great, and thier veggie rolls were fantastic. California and George rolls.

While the tempura specialty rolls were a bit of a surprise to me. I have ordered in the past sushi from them and I got what I ordered. Here I placed and order for 2 Sharon rolls and I got some rolls that look like they went on a diet. Disappointing.

I'm accustomed to get their Sushi spot fries whenever I sushi, which are amazing. But it was Warm/cold and felt as if it was sitting out for the past two hours!

Truth be told I've been going out to eat at the Sushi spot in Lakewood NJ which has really delicious food.

I'm comparing to what I had there and what I'm getting here, the rolls were starved and looked like they gave me the scraps, don't know why they would do that for those who order a takeout order.

I now learnt the hard way to double check my order while I'm still in store.

While the tampura rolls were tiny, they were actually very tasty.

Kaney salad was amazing as well. Avocado and some carrots would be a nice additive to that salad. I did order a large but could be since the kaney is quite heavy it made it look like a small...

I would give 0 stars if I could. I placed an order for 2 large poke bowls. After receving the food and ready to eat, I opened my container and gave the other to my mother. Upon eating my mother discovered a straight piece of hair in her food. As she held the piece of hair up, it was imbedded in a particle of food. My mother and I are both AA woman with curly hair (with me having loc'd hair) and the hair my mother found was bone straight, indicating that this strand of hair came from the person who prepared the food. This is very unsanitary and unacceptable. So much so that my mother got completely sick to her stomach and also created a fear that I too will find hair in my food. I ended up throwing all of the food away and because of this will never order from this establishment again. HORRIBLE! I was told that I won a free platter on June 28 for their summer raffle via text, which I'm convinced wasn't real to begin with. I call the gentleman to confirm and he agreed. Then I go to That Sushi Spot today to redeem my free party platter, only to be called out rudely by a guy with black hair and a black goatee. He was upset because I had an issue with a platter in the past, mind you I've ordered from there on numerous occasions with only one time having an issue, and he told me to never order from there again and that he would call the cops.
