Brooklyn Public Library - Flatlands Branch — Attraction in New York

Excellent branch which does not let size become an obstacle in providing books, DVDs, computer use, and hosting of events. There is a charging station, which is one power strip with about four outlets, which is fine, because the library doesn't seem to draw large amounts of people. While book selection is on the small side, one can always put holds on materials and they will be brought to the branch. The staff is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. This branch is well-maintained and clean, not quite as much in the men's room, but functional. (I can't comment on the ladies' bathrooms, for obvious reasons.) The one thing that I believe would be a good addition is another table for those who want to sit and just read or do other work. At present, another table is for people charging laptops, etc and next to it is the computer station, where people have access to library computers. This is a great place anyone should be visiting on a regular visit. Books, tapes, movies and music- all free with a card. What more can you want? If they don't have the selection it can be ordered and you get an email for pick up. It has events and reading programs for children. If you miss out on this opportunity -Shame on YOU. Don't forget a book-is your best friend. I found the librarian Lazy and told me use the computer to find a book. The front desk also was like...we don't check out books and tells me to self check at the kiosk. What up with working for a living? PS hard to find parking so do it quickly at the nearby...

It is great for children to read. There are computers for little kids. The books are good for kids to read. My child is 7 and she has started reading when she was 3. It was inspiring her. She has 120 books to read. She reads books that are not her level yet. She reads chapter books. Challenging books like Dork Dairy's. The book has 509 pages. She loves the books. She reads...
