I almost never leave reviews — but I'm making an exception. For many years, I suffered from terrible headaches and nightly back spasms. I saw my primary care doctor multiple times and tried his suggested solutions, including medication. I vaguely remember attempting physical therapy in the past, but it never helped. So I simply lived with the pain. When it became unbearable, I took Advil and hoped for the best. Over the years, the pain in my back and neck — and the headaches that followed — fluctuated from bearable to completely debilitating. This past summer, things got significantly worse. I made a commitment to myself that during my vacation, my #1 goal would be to finally find a real solution. I even called my sister and joked about giving physical therapy another shot — we always thought it was a scam. I had never believed in physical therapy, convinced it simply didn’t work. But desperate for relief, I remembered someone at the gym mentioning a local practice called Evolve Physical Therapy, so I figured I had nothing to lose and made an appointment. I’ve always been active and a regular gym-goer, so I honestly didn't think a physical therapist could teach me much. Then I met Yana. From the very first session, I walked out feeling like someone had lifted a hundred pounds off my shoulders. I was stunned. I immediately called my sister and said, “Remember how we mocked physical therapy? I just finished my appointment and I feel like a completely different person.” It has now been three months, and I haven’t taken a single Advil or Tylenol for back pain or headaches. I even started wearing necklaces again — something I stopped doing nearly 20 years ago because of the discomfort. I know this sounds unbelievable. Honestly, sometimes it’s hard even for me to believe. Yana is extraordinary. She works on your back with what feels like magic before guiding you through targeted exercises. She is patient, kind, and truly gifted at what she does. I cannot recommend her...
Read moreI had a great experience here at Evolve Avenue N Marine Park location. I came here for right shoulder pain since 12/2021 and am glad I did. I initially tried getting an appointment at a totally different physical therapy company, but they didn't have any availabilities to suit my need. When I found Evolve and called them for an appointment, they had one within the next day. They did an initial intake and got my history. They figured out what was causing my shoulder pain (instability of the shoulder instead of frozen shoulder), and showed me all different kinds of exercises to strengthen my muscles.
Due to my work schedule, they were very accommodating with my appointments. As a result, I worked with 3 physical therapists: Gil, Mitchell, and Derek. They each had their own expertise and knowledge, which allowed me to benefit in a variety of ways. Each session usually began with manual massage from my physical therapist. This was followed by exercises, such as shoulder taps, mountain climbers, performing "Y's, T's, and I's" using 4 lb weights and resistance bands, rolling a 'noodle' against the wall with resistance band, pretend drawing the alphabet in capital letters with a weighted ball in hand, kettle bell farmer's walk, planks, and many other exercises. They have a lot of equipment to accommodate innumerable exercises.
I have completed my sessions today and my right shoulder pain is gone and my arms are nice and toned. Evolve has given me an exercise regimen plan that I can access via a link provided, so I can continue exercising beyond. The therapists are really nice and friendly, and even offered exercises for other issues I had (wrist and hip pain) when I inquired. The assistant Carmen was also very friendly, sweet, and nice. You can really tell there is genuine care.
Also, Evolve runs their clinic organized and everyone plays a role and does their job. Yes, I would recommend this place for physical therapy. If ever I need to undergo PT again, I'll know...
Read moreI chose Evolve PT for my knee rehab process because they were close and accepted my insurance. I go back every week because Evolve has lived up to its name and helped me live a healthier, less painful life.
After a traumatic incident induced by poor skiing technique, I earned my first hospital-visit worthy injury: a torn LCL/ ACL combo with a spaghettified meniscus on the side. I began Rehab with Evolve soon after my surgery, and it has proved an excellent decision. The hardworking team here at Evolve has been crucial to my personal recovery journey.
Dr Song is extremely kind and knowledgeable, offering excellent treatment in clinic. She provides high quality care as well as an accommodative personalized regiment that has been helpful in at home recovery. Truly an amazing person devoted to other people’s betterment.
The exceptional young men and women who serve as the team of exercise specialists are friendly, coordinated, and efficient. I have had a particularly pleasant experience with an enthusiastic Anu, the courteous Chad, and the impressively efficient multitasker Mike. Whether it be tips on form, scheduling appointments, or just a glass of water, all of the aides are happily helpful. Although I am not their patient, the other Physical Therapists Hansen and Gabby are cool too.
The facilities are kept clean and organized contributing to the streamlined experience and positive environment that I look forward to every week.
After 6+ months of coming here multiple times a week, I feel stronger. I feel less pain. I feel more able. I feel good. I attribute much of my knee’s progress to Evolve PT.
I can confidently say that my physical therapist and her team have more invested, helpful, and optimistic throughout my surgery and recovery process than my doctor, surgeon, and specialists combined. If not already made clear, I highly recommend the Marine Park location of Evolve PT to everyone and...
