I stopped by OāNeal at JFK during a layover and had a decent experience overall. The food was okay ā nothing particularly memorable, but it got the job done for airport dining. The drinks werenāt very strong, which was a bit disappointing, especially considering the airport prices, but they were still refreshing.
One thing that stood out was the ordering system: you scan a QR code at the table to browse the menu, order, pay, and tip all at once. Itās convenient and efficient, especially if youāre in a rush or donāt want to wait around for a server.
What really made the experience pleasant was the staff. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made an effort to check in with us regularly. Even with the digital ordering system, they were present and made sure we were doing well and had everything we needed.
All in all, OāNeal is a solid option if youāre looking for a sit-down meal at JFK. While the food and drinks wonāt blow you away, the smooth ordering process and excellent service make it worth a visit ā especially if you appreciate efficiency with a...

Kitchen was closed for only God knows the reason. while the manager and all the additional staff sat across the terminal chatting in patrons seat, Henry, the bartender was meeting and greeting every customer at the door to let them know that the kitchen was closed while taking care of a full bar. While, we had the opportunity to speak with the manager, We werenāt left to feel much better as she too sat across the terminal. We expressed our concerns. She apologized stating āwe had a lot going onā Yeah, sorry that we cut into your social time. Shame on her as a manager.. well, there was no way for a table because the bartender was so busy we made it about 30 to 40 minutes for a drink. If there are any bars out there looking to take on a great bartender, look in Henryās direction. He served a great beer made an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreO'Neals', at Terminal 8 JFK are not inviting at all. I stood for about a half hour or so waiting for what I thought was a " Wait to be seated" restaurant. That wasn't the case at all, there was actually no one that was a server to give you any instructions. When a male server finally came from "the back", I asked him do I sit anywhere? He looked at me as if I should have already known to sit anywhere, with the classic rudeness and aggressiveness that is almost like a badge of honor for people who reside in New York I guess. I was so turned off I said to myself this is obviously not a place I ever want to eat ever!!! I walked away absolutely starving and walked to Mezze, another eatery in the same terminal location. I was greeted wonderfully from their servers with giant smiles, as it is New Year's eve, I got some food, found a table to eat and write...
