O'Neill's Maspeth — Restaurant in New York

Was staying at a hotel near by and found oneills to be walking distance so we decided to give it a shot. I did not expect to have the most interesting dining experience in my life today. Our server was not knowledgeable of the menu and we needed to explain to him a good portion of the items we ordered. A guest in our party had to explain to him what a spiked lemonade was even though it was listed on the cocktail menu and is quite straightforward. Also the timing of our items was totally off. We got our wings first which was fine, but they weren’t even tossed in the sauces we asked for. The garlic butter was also literally that; slices of garlic in unsalted butter. Wings were meaty and crispy but lacking flavor. Calamari came out afterward and it was solid but nothing to remember. Then the chicken wrap entree came out after for the third guest, followed by the cheese fries I ordered with my wings which at this point I’ve practically finished and asked about twice prior to them being brought out. The icing on the cake was I asked for cheese on the side and again it was taken so literally. We got a hot order of waffle fries with 5 slices of cold American cheese on a side plate. Had to ask the server if this was correct to which they brought the cheese plate back to the kitchen and returned with a smidge of nacho cheese. I’m sure this place is reliable and staple for the neighborhood based on other reviews but i genuinely think we got unlucky and had one of the poorest dining...

Stay away!! I never write these things but I had to after this experience. 1st my mother found a piece of rubber in her lobster bisque that she found after it was in her mouth (disgusting) then my sister found the same rubber piece in hers the waitress took the bowls away and was apologetic, then she came back and confirmed that they strained the pot of lobster bisque and they found more rubber in side... the waitress was great for the main fact she was honest, then I ordered a medium rare burger which came well well done. She then said she's trying to get in contact with her manager who was on vacation because this was unacceptable and we shouldn't have to pay for anything due to all these issues and she was right but then she told us my manager is on vacation and she not fully understanding the situation and she's sorry and she will take off the super well done burger and the lobster bisque.. the bench my mother and sister were sitting on was broken and kept rocking back and forth... their employee confirming that the lobster bisque was cooked with all that rubber in the pot is a health hazard at minimum you do not charge that table and pray the customer doesn't take further actions... any manager knows this. The worst was the bill wasn't even expensive it was 50$. The owner should really consider who he has in trusted to manage their...

I order 4 x rum 2 coke and 2 more drinks. After first 2 rums I give to the barman 50$. When me and my girlfriend walks outside to smoke cigarettes...security guy came and said we didn't pay bill...so we back inside to pay the rest...and bill was for almost 280$. I ask them why it's so much...thy said bcs you didn't pay for beer and food Funny thing cos kitchen was closed and we didn't drink any beer. When i ask them can you check at cameras what we order they said it's impossible. Finally thy call for police ...I ask them again can you show me and police video records....answer was same ...not possible. We pay all this crazy bill ...next day I spoke with menager asking again for video records ...nothing happen...we spoke 2 or times more ...menager said he is on vacation an he will cal me back when he return.... After months ....he didn't call. So I suggest don't go there. Another situation at same place ....I order tea with my girlfriend....and they said ...this tea maybe to expensive for you guys..go to the corner store across street........ Well no comments right?) This Is why I suggest to all of my friends don't go there. There is many places where is more respect...
