Shellys Cafe & Grocery — Restaurant in New York

I got everything positive to report on my first visit. Shelly's is your old school neighborhood Irish food joint. I miss authentic places like this. Parked my flatbed tow truck right out front. Plenty of parking. The customer service is excellent, courteous, and responsive to all my inquiries.

The food is the best part. All I have to say is quality fresh food, cooked to order on the spot takes longer than refrigerated pre-cooked food that is then reheated/microwaved. I had the most tasty grilled chicken panini ever! There is a home style quality in this kitchen that I appreciate. I'm leaving a copy of this review everywhere I can....

This is a recent find for me, though its been here for a couple of years. They do Irish specialty foods. All of the Tommy Molone sausages and back bacon, Brennan's Bread, all of the Irish sweets and cookies... Most surprising is their menu with Shepherd pie, Guinness burners, mashed potatoes and mixed veg. Their sausage rolls rival any other place. The prices are reasonable and there is limited seating if you want to eat in. I get my food to go, there's always...

They Charged extra $1 for mayo and ketchup on a Egg and Cheese sandwich...Wasn't even there...Nothing like opening the sandwich hungry, ready to enjoy and not having it the way you ordered :( PRICELESS
