UPDATE 2/15/24:
Booked a reservation for 2 on Valentine’s Day and it was a nightmare. In an effort to maximize profits at the expense of customers, the restaurant brought in a ton of extra tables and completely packed the floor space so that there was barely an inch or two to move between tables and they set a prix fixe menu of $85/per person. After being seated, it took the server over 45 minutes to take our order and they only took our order because I finally got fed up of waiting and had to literally chase down the wait staff to complain. Apparently we were just forgotten and the same thing happened to four other tables surrounding us, with one couple just getting up and leaving without eating after they’d waited for over an hour to be served! Greed was the name of the game here and they ruined what should have been a fun and romantic night out. This was a truly disappointing experience compared to my original visit a few weeks ago and it’s now questionable if I will ever return here. I should have gone to Maielle which also serves Italian food just down the street. Lesson learned.
Original 4-star review 2/1/24:
Wanted to check out this new restaurant on the LIC waterfront and was fortunate enough to happen to go during Restaurant Week where they had an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $40. I heard good things about the food and service and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend the Burrata & prosciutto, beef meatball appetizers, and the pappardelle oxtail ragu. The waiter was confused about the bottle of wine we ordered - originally saying that it wasn’t available - but another waiter came to our table explaining that the other waiter was new and the bottle we wanted was actually available. Lesson here is - since this place is new, maybe double check whether a particular item is available especially if you have your eye on it. Overall, really love this new restaurant on the LIC waterfront and would recommend. I also think they should change their name to “Osteria LIC”....

My friend and I stumbled upon Osteria Brooklyn in Long Island City while waiting for our car to finish at a detail appointment nearby and asked to see the menu outside. Right away, we were warmly greeted by Raffaele, the owner himself (we didn’t know and he didn’t make it clear he was), who was not only kind and welcoming but also hilarious — the kind of genuine host who instantly makes you feel at home without pressuring you to dine. Just good vibes, a great attitude, and a clear passion for hospitality - we guessed he was the chef because of how passionate he seemed!
We loved the menu and decided to sit down, and Raffaele went above and beyond to accommodate us. He graciously gave us a larger table upon request (which most restaurants wouldn’t even consider), and personally recommended dishes based on exactly what we were in the mood for — and nailed it.
We had a few special requests and substitutions, and not only were they handled flawlessly, but every dish came out beautifully presented and even more delicious than expected. The food was fresh, vibrant, and plated with care — we especially loved the shrimp Caesar salad, deconstructed mushroom chicken (pictured with ceviche!).
It’s rare to find a spot where the hospitality matches the quality of the food, but Osteria Brooklyn delivers both effortlessly. Raffaele is the heart of the experience, and it shows in every detail. There’s a reason there’s more than one location.
I seriously recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in the area. Whether you’re looking for a cozy, relaxed lunch or a flavorful dinner with great energy — this...

Dining at Osteria was an experience that felt like a warm embrace from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that every dish was crafted with an incredible amount of love and attention to detail. The flavors were exquisite, each bite a delightful journey that left me savoring the unique combinations and fresh ingredients.
The atmosphere was nothing short of breathtaking. Nestled in the heart of the city, Osteria offers a stunning view of Manhattan that is simply captivating. Whether you're dining indoors or on their beautifully designed patio, the panoramic skyline adds a magical touch to the entire experience. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic dinner, a celebratory meal, or simply to unwind with friends while soaking in the view.
The staff at Osteria are among the friendliest I have ever encountered. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring our glasses were always full and our needs met without being intrusive. What truly stood out was the owner's presence. They took the time to check on us personally, sharing the story behind the restaurant and making us feel like valued guests.
I wholeheartedly recommend Osteria to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience. It’s a place where the food is not just a meal but an expression of passion and care. Treat yourself to an evening here and you’ll find it’s more than just dinner—it’s a memory in the making. Don’t miss out on this gem; it’s an experience you won’t...
