Extremely hot and no air circulation in the waiting area. Counter person was cool and cracked jokes but service was slow moving. 3 people ahead of me and it took over 15 minutes to reach the front to order a patty & coco bread. Patties are in a case upfront but when you order other items, a runner brings them up from the back area. I have tried the other 2 top rated bakeries on White Plains Rd, but I don't mind driving 10-12 more blocks to Paul's. The patties are always perfect and the Coco bread melts in your mouth. You can just eat the Coco bread alone and be satisfied. I bought a dozen patties and 6 Coco breads to take to my relatives in Maryland. They loved them!! Let me just tell you my whole family loves this place. Its like an extension of Kingston Tropical Bakery. The breads dem is sweet and nice, but if you want for some healthy bread the wholewheat bread they make is delicious! Well worth the try. Beef, chicken, and veggie patties are too damn good. Put it between a coco bread and its a gift from heaven. For real Jamaican patties and breads this is the only uptown place in the Bronx worth going to.
