Here right now waiting on my crispy bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel. I live close by but never gave them a shot. The gentleman at the register is very nice and friendly. I could hear him training the young lady at the register on how to be pleasant and kind to customers. I am blown away by that attention to detail in a time where businesses are more focused on pushing out the products and gathering the money. I’m African American woman who lives in the area and frequent this place. Until today. I went in after 10pm last night after work to buy a sandwich. As I was paying for my items the man at the counter told me I could not pay with an EBT card. Mind you I was paying with my Chase credit card. Via Apple Pay . I asked why would he say that. And he stated I said I was paying with an EBT card. I only asked if the grill was open for hot food. Then he says he said that because I was buying a cold sandwich. I said you didn’t ask anyone else that. He said he didn’t mean to offend me. I told it was extremely offensive and he meant what he said.
