Cheap Shots Sports Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in New York

I have been visiting this bar for over 5 years and today I was denied entry. I was denied entry because of my keys. Yes believe it or not keys to enter a building. Even though I didn’t want any problems and gave the keys to my friend to put in my car another bouncer came over to the one who was checking my self and the people I was with and said don’t let them in. I proceeded to explain that it’s just keys and I gave them to my friend to put in his car if it’s a problem. The bouncer told me it would be an issue if you opened it and stabbed someone. Mind you I am a federal contractor and go through screening in federal buildings with the same keys and no issues. This place discriminates if you are not a regular and is too ignorant in observing the items people have. Good luck to the owner with having a security detail like that. Horrible experience!! This was as a great bar but after last night I've had the worst experience. I've been to this bar several times and never once had a problem with my ID. Last night I was denied entrance by security guard on Duty for Saturday night who doesn’t know how to do his job correctly because he can’t tell an REAL ID from a fake ID he also made rude comments on my body. He had let me in many times before, he stated that he’s never let me in before when he certainly did . If it was fake he would've never let me in previously! He was super rude and so was the bar manager he had a smirk the entire time and didn’t even ask me about my ID. Disgusting making comments about my chest and saying I’m under 21 weirdo! It's an ok spot for drinks, but beware, if you are not careful the waiter will add charges (like gratuity) or will not grant you the drink special of the day. I learned first hand that if they ask for you I.D. & drivers license even though I was paying cash, that you should ask to see someone in management right away. Like I said, this is a nice little spot to get drink specials & have fun with friends, but not a spot where you should bring a date or order food, unless she is a hood rat.
