Tacos El Bronco 2 — Restaurant in New York

I’ve ordered from these guys numerous times over the past couple years and the food is always great. I’ve recommended them to my boyfriend and friends when they’re around because the quality and prices can’t be beat. I’ve finally decided to leave a review just because I ordered from them yesterday and it wasn’t as good as it usually is. After waiting about an hour more or less for my food, I gave the delivery guy $20 for the six tacos I ordered, expecting to get back $9.50 (before tipping) since they’ve been $1.75 each for the longest time. You can imagine my surprise and confusion when he only gave me back $5. I pointed it out as a mistake and he said the tacos were $2.50 each, not $1.75. So I just said okay and left it at that, but it would’ve been nice to know beforehand that their menu prices have changed. I usually don’t even keep cash on me and decided last minute to withdraw a $20 instead of exact change, which was good thinking in hindsight, because it would’ve sucked if I was unknowingly short almost $5 and who knows what would’ve happened then. But regardless, the food was good as usual, however the packaging was pretty poor. The container the tacos came in was soggy and greasy on the outside, and the paper bag the container was in was equally as soggy as well, which is pretty gross but not a huge deal. I got 3 chicken and 3 pork tacos, and the chicken was pretty dry without adding the included sauces on the side to it and a little bit of the pork was chewy. I don’t know what happened on their end but overall the taste was still pretty close to as good as it usually...

Updated review because I just moved and reminiscing my times here: Giving this place a 5 star review because regardless of the screw, they know how to deliver bomb tacos. When we first moved, tacos were $2, now they’re $2.5, possibly $2.75 (yes the pandemic), but it’s still better pricing than Manhattan. This spot is definitely a must if you’re in the area. They are CASH ONLY so make sure to withdraw some bills before coming here.

If you see a crowd of people, kindly ask if they’ve ordered. Most people standing there are waiting for their order. They guys taking orders are quick. Don’t be surprised if your wait time is about 15 min, it’s a popular spot and the paisanos in the truck cooking are working as hard as they can to get you your tacos as quick as possible. They can’t help it people order a lot at a time. Miss you Tacos Broncos!
