Pisa Pizzeria — Restaurant in New York

Update just to note: they've reopened since I last posted! I'm once again a happy customer. Be sure to visit; they have amazing food and friendly customer service. (Orig. Review 08/2020) This pizza is the best, hands down...we've been ordering from them regularly for years! I'm hoping all is well and everyone is healthy during this pandemic. I'm sad to see that Pisa hasn't opened yet; I wish them all the best. I hope things work out and they're able to open once again. The community misses you...pizza just isn't the same without Pisa...

The google page uses this really nice image of a pie i was interested in, not being from nyc i asked for the white pizza…instead i got this nasty ricotta cheese pizza with cheap meat of some kind. When i called and explained my confusion i was pushed over to someone else only to be told not only that they don’t manage the page (false) but to next time order the correct pizza (margarita) …no “hey come back and we can switch it out” nope. And yes i tried one bite ..1.5/10....

This pizza place is just average compared to the other pizzerias in the neighborhood. The staff and service is ok. I’m sure the owners are nice despite not meeting them (the other reviewers boast about them) but the pizza is only decent at best. If you are ordering a fresh pie, you can’t really go wrong but if you’re walking in for a slice, I recommend going to some of the other pizza...
