New York Grill — Restaurant in New York

My families one and only Diner for the past 13 yrs, when they closed for a few months, we suffered. We went to a few local diners, and that was an awful experience, not welcoming, awful food, Glendale diner seemed prejudiced, food was tasteless, coffee taste like instant coffee, we are hispanics, we definitely were treated different, the discrimination was clear. Their waitresses go out smoke, then come back in, stinking and serving YUCK! Tastys diner is awful as well, the owner is on top of poeple the minute they see you're almost done with your food you are smacked with the bill and a thank you, we did not enjoy our time there, food the worst, portion was like they a serving a child, no refills on coffee, there is no place like NY Grill! The food is great. Refills on coffee, coffee is the best, family owned business, extremely polite and professional. Nice warm place, and you are never rushed out. THANK YOU, NY GRILL. Disgusting service!!! Order a steak medium rare, got it well done. Sent it back and received a steak medium well. Told the waitress I will eat it because I'm no longer gonna wait for my food and it would be a waste at this point. Come time for the check and it's Full price. I went to speak to the manager who argued I should have sent it back again and that instead he will accomadate me but to never come back again. That he was banning me because he felt I wanted a free meal. I told him I don't want a free meal but a discount and that I shouldn't have to send my food back a third time. They should have gotten it right if not the first time then the second time!!! I'm not saying the food is bad but the service and attitude of the staff is down right horrible and the manager feels like business is so great he doesn't have to respect his customers and he's always right!!!...

I went there to have breakfast and I wanted to tip the waitress, so I told the waitress that I need to have an option of leaving her a tip because I do not see it on my receipt, I was charged on my card again directly by the restaurant just for the waitresses to get her tip. As I was getting ready to leave after going out of my way to make sure that I tipped my waitress, a man that was behind the counter started telling me that waitresses don’t need a tipping option on the receipt or at the Card Reader during checkout, even though we all know that many customers will gladly leave without leaving a penny for their servers, which is greatly common for tip based workers. I found the man to be unnecessarily rude and aggressive towards me for wanting to tip my waitress, which felt extremely weird and rude. It was a very uncomfortable experience to have...
