Glendale Pizza — Restaurant in New York

The pizza is decent enough. I've tasted better and worse.

What's strange is how they seemingly switch the price on the fly for some menu items. Take the pepperoni bites, for example. Within the past 3 years, I've been told they are 4 for $1, 3 for $1, 4 for $2, 4 for $1.50, 3 for $1.25, and most recently, 6 for $3. Sometimes the price changes within the same month.

Service could be a little better too. There's this one older guy sometimes working the counter that never says anything besides the price when he charges you at the register. No hello, no goodbye, and his equivalent to asking how he can help you is just looking at you. It's pretty bizarre.

I think you'd probably be better off heading to Pisa Pizzeria or Joe and John's Pizza, both closeby, but you could definitely do a lot worse than Glendale Pizza. It's good food, but the service is what needs...

WASH YOUR HANDS!!!, The employees are not sanitary AT ALL, I have personally watched the main pm worker, touch his phone, touch money, comes to the lobby to touch boxes and shake peoplels hand then work his way to putting all his fingers over my pizza and then wipes his hands off with his shirt and pants. Honestly I gave them a second chance and came back in hopes that was a one time scenario but it happened again and even worst. Working in a food establishment you have to understand to be mindful where you are putting your hands, especially if your going to be touching peoples food. Its been far too many times that these guys with dirty fingers touch peoples food and its to the point where even though I live on the same block as this pizza shop, I walk even further to another pizza shop where employees are...

Great pizza, great service. I especially appreciated how proactive they are with the city's new indoor dining mandate. It's not an easy time and it's even less easy, and surely uncomfortable, for any worker/business owner to have to ask customers for proof of vaccine. But one gentleman there was on it and this customer appreciates it! I hope customers who are vaccinated can just start walking in with the proof ready to show and make it easier on the restaurants bc they're just following the law afterall, they didn't make it.
