Prova Pizzabar — Restaurant in New York

Exactly one year ago I came here gave it a 5 star review. Today my son and I stopped here for lunch and ordered a margarita pizza garlic knots and water mine has bubbles. Well the waiter was attentive to every table but ours, we got our pizza but no garlic knots. We are the pizza we were starving. Still no garlic knots. Then he comes and delivers the check. Must not have heard the garlic knots. At this point I was highly upset never checked out table to see if we wanted any red pepper flakes or the shake cheese. Never even asked if we were going to order more. No instead, gave us the check after offering to give us the knots on the house, but at that point we'd already eaten the disappointing pizza and I was aggravated. I've never not tipped someone today was that day. And partially it was due to there not being enough wait staff....

We were invited by the hostess to step in the restaurant while walking around trying to decide where to eat. I'm so glad she did, we absolutely loved it. Service was the best, the hostess was our waitress and she was so nice, friendly and attentive. We were exhausted from walking around the city and she could tell. She moved us to a more comfortable, padded seat and put two tables together so we could spread out. The food came out fast, hot and delicious. We had pizza and a salad. NY pizza cannot be beat, something about eating pizza in NYC it's so charming, but also delicious. The small pizza it's good for two people and the single serve salad was too. I had an aperol spritz to go with my meal and even though it was small, it was packed with flavor, very strong, perfect. It was such good lunch that I would take the train just to go...

Oh my days is the pizza here AMAZING!! 10/10 all around. I had the margarita slice, it was THE BEST pizza i had in my time in NYC, the sauce was so flavourful, tomatoy and herby, sweet but salty, it complimented the cheese so well, and the base was nice a crispy but still a little soft, perfectly cooked. The service was quick, no time for chatting as it was so busy but the service was still great! Massive line went down in just 5 minutes! Like 4 of us out of my group has pizza from there and everybody was in love with it!! They all had much more exciting pizza like a peperoni slice, chicken something, a spinach and ricotta pocket. Im happy with my margarita slice aha. All of the food looked and tasted amazing!! 200/10 recommend, definitely visit if you get the chance!!!

Great prices for the food and hard work...
