Finally found the Real Deal Punjabi fare in this part of Long Island. They've raised the authentic cuisine bar several notches; and ... Open 24 Hours!! (verified, personally) Tried the Amritsari 'Chholæ-Kulche'. We were transported to native land; traditional taste for the discerning palate. The Kulchas, by themselves, are capable of standing their ground as viable New Haven 'Apizza' alternative. Punjabi size, too. Chholæ are flavorful, loads of spice but not pepper-hot. Salty lassi spot on. Went for their full range of pinni (5 varieties) and loved all. Followed up with 'Dodha Burfi' and that was uuumph, too - way past what is being offered by other establishments down this stretch of Hillside Ave. They also list non-Punjabi stuff on many card, probably to spread the array of offerings and cater to health fads. But, to me it doesn't make sense to offer niche stuff like Acai Bowls and take a needless beating on customer ratings. Talking about ratings, we had avoided this essentially upcoming place based off ratings. That is, till word of mouth induced us here. And we are fans now! Yes, they have space constraints. Yes, finger food requires a washroom which limited space hinders. Yes, the seating for ~14 is not formally served in style. But the negative reviews look unjustified at the face of authentic, home-style food. On one occasion, add-on to takeout order was missed getting filled. They did a quick recap, reconciled, apologized and made good on the miss. Overall, a very welcome takeout option for authentic, quality food in predominantly residential district (hence, short time-to-table). Hope they maintain their quality and adorable simplicity.

I asked for Gobi Paratha. There were few pieces of Gobi. My first& Last visit. I also bought paneer paratha which is being thrown away. It’s such a shame that all these new Vegetarian places opening on hillside Ave. and quality sucks. Double layer of Aata and no stuffing. Public giving high reviews must be with b the family or they have not tried any other Indian Vegetarian restaurants

Amazing Indian breakfast food! Don't let the small space fool you into not stopping. The owner was absolutely the sweetest and the food was cooked to order! They have such a big variety of food for everyone. Non vegetarian and vegetarian!. This will be a regular stop when I come in town

They are completely inflexible with regards to their menu. When told that one of our group was allergic to Chole and requested a replacement to daal, we were rudely informed that it’s not possible. We will charge you for the chole and in addition we will charge you for the daal. They very reluctantly agreed to substitute the chole. They refused to serve only Alu tikis. We had to get the Alu Chaat with all the fixings when we did not want tum. The server - Sagar very rudely told us that we cannot accommodate your order. Seriously !! Menu is limited. Atmosphere is ok. Food is...

I literally just had rancid food, was lied to about things not having dairy in them. They did not get my order right, and they missed items from my order and asked if I really ordered them. I had to return my food and they did refund me my money and they were OK about it, but they weren’t accepting of why the problem they were just whatever. There was so many other good Punjabi places to eat not this one. How about they have a few less hours and they focus on quality rather than just...
