Quipesupremo — Restaurant in New York

Not sure how this spot got mad stars when there’s soo many places close by to find the same stuff as this place but….. honest review incoming … As a pastelito fanatic, $2.50 for a pastelito is wilding for a place that’s not a store where they even rent the place out. It’s literally being sold out their home. Nonetheless the quality was okay. Pretty much the regular. Not really stacked with meat either, Just the bottom half of the pastelito so it’s pretty much underwhelming filled, like most spots these days. Def was expecting better from this spot since it’s being popularized on IG but you guys really just be saying anything lol

Anywho- if you want variety and flavor, I’d so go to the heights. Particularly one by 191 st. Mad flavors. They give you that pick sauce, even got a spicy one :) they used to be $1, I believe they are now 1.50, but good price since they’re pretty big and I don’t know where else it would...

This is mediocre at best, if you were raised by Dominicans or lived in the heights you’ve had wayyyyyy better. The cheese pastelito uses Mexican shredded cheese WHAT?!?? The bola de yuca de queso had no flavor AND there was a hair in the second one i threw it away. The chicken pastelitos tasted ok. And the quipes were not good. I heard bout this place on instagram thanks to paulie.mars and went to try it out recently and the food was amazing. I had some chicken casadnedas and they slapped and i got 3 for 6 bucks and that was a steal. Going to go back to try more of the menu soon tho just know the food is top tier. Domician food is nice and this is a cool place to vist and eat in the bronx when you are around their menu looks...
