If you have an instant Ramen packet handy, go with that instead. There is a shelf of it across at the other shop which I'm actually craving right now. Pros: - food at an airport. - Lee Kum Kee soy sauce for costumers to help with the taste. - charging ports for my devices. (I think my phone had a better meal than me. The 2 stars is for the charging) Cons: - this is probably not an accurate representation of Japanese food or "Asian food". - veggie lo mein is just noodles with frozen veggies on top. Ramen is also very bad, couldn't even finish 1/3 of it. - pretttttttty expensive.

I ordered Soy and Sake tacos which promised 3 pieces - shrimp, tuna and crab. $25.50…. When they brought it out on top of the “crab” one were featured 2 pieces (!! Two only:(..) of imitation crab… I left that one for last and hoped that I’d find real crab underneath… silly me. PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE. This was awful. I felt like I threw $25 into trash and some trash into my stomach. When I complained they said that none ever complained about the crab… don’t know how long this has been on the menu… but even if I am the first one, so be it! People speak up!!!!

Horrible food. Arrived cold and drowned in soy sauce. I ordered the chicken fried rice, and none of what I ordered was fried as it all microwaved because there is no kitchen. We should've spotted that before we sat down really, now I'll look twice in the future. Beer arrived cold though and was by far the best experience eating (drinking) at this place. Allthough horribly expensive. A gin and tonic is $16, same price as a main. I will give it to our waiter though who was very friendly and took the dish off my bill.

Horrifyingly inedible. Numinous food code violations. Ordered a rice bowl. The white rice was overcooked with too much water, it was clumpy and did not taste fresh - not at all. Tofu on top was still frozen in the center. Very little toppings apart from chipotle mayo was gross and questionable. The Jiaozi/pot stickers were still cold, partly frozen. Tasted horrible – we literally gagged it back onto the plate. We ended up throwing it all away. Cost us $50+ for those two small dishes. In my opinion (for numerous reasons) JFK is the absolute worse major airport in the world and Soy & Sake is the epitome of JFK's abject failure - "people have nowhere else to go - so screw em, let's take...

The machine for inputting your own order was not printing on their end and the girl working had no competence and could not handle the problem at all, she offered no apology and didn’t do anything to resolve the issue except storming away and muttering I want to quit this job. Please do. I’m a teenager who can handle food service better than this grown woman. Eat anywhere else at JFK. The managers are rude as well. I don’t understand how they get any tips at all because they are too stupid to even make the orders that are just microwaved ingredients in under...
