Had such a wonderful holiday in New York with everyone being so nice and helpful the whole week!! However this wasn't the case in jfk terminal 4 duty free!! I had $200 left in cash that I wanted to spend so I went to the duty free!! I wanted to purchase a eyecream and asked for some help!! She was so rude and just told me read the box!! I than came back a second time as I wanted to re purchase a foundation that I had ran out of! I wanted to see the difference between the one I had and the lighter shade up!! A lovely gentleman who worked there went a got the same lady again!! She was so horrible when I asked to see the difference she said if the tester is not on the shelf than I can't see!! I could clearly see that there was a lighter shade but she was too lazy to show me!! Absolutely horrendous person who should not be working in that industry as I travel a lot and have always dealt with very friendly staff in duty free shops!! I also wanted to purchase the geogio Armani Sí purfume but thought screw this im not giving them any money and just walked off!! Appalling...
Read moreI was very unsatisfied with the way the sales person treated me a few days ago. She was not helpful (no one there to assist) and not friendly when I came to the register. Twice a year, on my way home, I buy day & night creme of Clinique and Advanced night repair of Estée Lauder in this store. Together $ 230. Also this day. I asked her if I could have one of the free travel size items that were in a box next to the products. She said no. Because the sign says you have to buy three products to get them. I said I bought three. She said they are not all Clinique so it doesn’t count. I said they are the same company (she didn’t know) and besides, I always get to pick three or more (I asked for one) travelsize items when I buy these exactly the same products. She was not going to discuss it, said there was nobody else to talk to or to ask, didn’t say sorry or anything. I found it very unsatisfying and will not go there again. Read moreI purchased an item from the terminal 4 branch almost 2 weeks ago & was informed to pick it up from the gate. This practice is ridiculous as my gate was a 2 minute walk from the shop & I’ve never had to do this at any other airport.
This is where the problem began, my flight was delayed & none of the duty free for the whole flight was delivered to the gate. At no point until we boarded the flight were we informed of this, after asking the flight crew we were told the duty free was never delivered to the gate & refunds would be issued. As I paid cash I contacted T Galleria by DFS when I landed back in England & also issued a copy of my receipt & they said “if we receive a reply” There is no “if” about it, this needs to be resolved with immediate effect, this whole situation is unacceptable….
Either a full refund needs to be set up immediately or post the purchased item to me.
