This is the main Starbucks that i come to. I never have an issue with customer service or the products that they sell. Yesterday, i placed an order via the app and it told me the order would be ready in two minutes. I was parked in the parking lot. No customers in the store. No one else parked and no one in the drive thru. So. I figured, i’d wait the two minutes and then drive thru. They weren’t busy what so ever. The woman in the drive thru was extremely rude and pushy. “I ask that you wait ten minutes before coming to pick up your order.” I asked her why ? She said so that it gives her time to make it. But, she’s not the one who makes it and it was completely empty in the store and it does not take ten minutes to put my daughters cake pop into the bag and pour my juice into a cup. It never takes ten minutes even when they are busy. I explained to her that the app told me it was ready. She kept pushing the matter. I arrived at the window and she continued. She told me that she might have to ask me to move because it’s going to take time to make the order. Why would i move ? There’s no one else here at all.. I told her that i was going to stay exactly where i was and that it’s truly not that serious for her to begin harassing me over. Every time she threw attitude at me, it got thrown right back at her. Everyone else there has been so pleasant and helpful. She was completely miserable and controlling. I don’t know if she’s done it with anyone else. I don’t know why it was done just to me. All i did was follow what the app told me to do. If you’re that unhappy with life, don’t work a job where you have to associate with others.
She also did not put the cap on my drink fully and when i took it out of her hand, some spilled on my shirt. She slammed the window like i did something to her.
I also had this issue with her one other time. I was too late to pick up an order. It took me 10 minutes to get there. I placed it in my parking spot at home and headed straight there due to the fact that it was early morning and i figured they would be busy. It told me it would take 8 minutes to be ready. So. I was 2 minutes later than that and she’s like “Well. It’s been here so long, let me check if it’s even still here.”
So. I did your 10 minutes before and it waited too long.
I come when the app tells me it’s ready. It’s some how not ready yet when you close the window and walked away, you picked it up and walked it right back to me. So. It clearly was ready. You just weren’t doing your job and paying attention.
So. Nothing pleases you.

And, this location needs to pay attention to some of their workers attitudes.

Read moreMy latest experience at this Starbucks left my very disappointed and turned me off of this location completely. I pulled up to the drive thru screen as was to told to drive forward. Confused, bc I hadn’t ordered yet and the car in front of me drove forward at least 30 seconds before I pulled in but I drove forward and followed instructions. As I got to the window I explain my confusion with the lady there and to my surprise she responded harshly and rude. She told me that what I experienced couldn’t have occurred and makes no sense. Even though the lack of acknowledgement and accountability rubbed me wrong, I agreed that it makes no sense since I did not get to order. So I asked if I could place my order at the window. All I wanted was a cake pop which requires no preparation and wouldn’t hold up the long line behind me. However this lady told me “no”. She expressed that I could not order at the window and I would have to drive back around to the screen. This left me extremely frustrated, not only bc of the miscommunication, but because I saw the headset on her person meaning she is the person who takes the drive through orders. With everything considered, I just left without ordering because I did not want to be late for work and the unprofessionalism from the staff member made me want to spend money elsewhere. I hope this establishment can recenter their culture around the companies mission statement (“inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time”) because the lack of...
Read moreAs a loyal Starbucks customer, I am disappointed by the ongoing service issues at your Rockaway Beach location. Customers are often made to wait at the menu board until their order is ready, which staff attribute to management decisions in a dismissive manner. This practice feels unwelcoming, and many in the community share similar frustrations.
During my recent visit, despite an empty store, I had to wait while the cashier processed four drive-thru orders and prepared their beverages before completing mine. When I asked about this, I was told that the focus of this location is on drive-thru patrons. This made me feel like my presence as a walk-in customer was insignificant and undervalued.
On multiple occasions, I have observed staff who appear tired, agitated, and unkempt. Many seem to lack professionalism and enthusiasm for their work, leading to inconsistent beverage quality and excessive wait times. I have received drinks that were poorly prepared, and the overall atmosphere of the store often feels uninviting.
Given the rising costs, customers expect a pleasant and professional experience in return for their patronage. Spending $35 or more on beverages for my family should come with basic respect and efficiency.
I am bringing these concerns to your attention because I believe improvements are necessary. There are many job seekers who would bring fresh energy and a positive attitude to...
