I went to St. John's to visit a couple friends during the winter and decided to visit this Starbucks. This was a huge mistake for many reasons. First, the staff there is extremely disorganized and lackadaisical. The cash registers are extremely slow except for the 1 Hispanic girl(I believe she's Hispanic). That cashier is the only pleasant staff member there. Secondly, during breakfast time (8:00), I ordered a toasted plain bagel with cream cheese and a coffee cake and I recieved my bagel but not my coffee cake. I continued to wait and when another worker gave me my item, the owner/manager (I believe she is a Black woman), accused me of stealing because they were packed and thought I only ordered 1 thing. REALLY? HOW DARE YOU DO THAT? YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED IF YOU THINK I WOULD STEAL ANYTHING. Finally, my friend wanted a blueberry scone and another slow cashier told me they were out of stock and couldn't even work the receipt machine. AVOID THIS COFFEE SHOP, GO TO THE STARBUCKS ON 188TH OR UNION TPKE & QBL. 5/5...

Has cosy lounging chairs, but pretty packed. The nearby area of “Sodano Coffee House” was closed for seating with a curtain.
For some reason, the milk and the half&half containers on the condiment bar had ice cubes in them.
The barista also refused to provide a refill of simple brewed coffee after buying an expensive handcrafted drink, stating something along the lines of “not being a regular location”. Not sure how it works, but I didn’t argue, although it detracts from the experience, and Starbucks Rewards ads are everywhere in this place, too.
All in all, nice campus Starbucks store. No parking inside the campus for vistors, but you can find a spot on the...
Read moreIt may not be a corporate Starbucks that accepts rewards or some promotions, but you can still use your card to get points. Additionally, it is one of the most congested due to undergrad and graduate students that flock to it. Always allocate an additional ten minutes for wait times in case you need a coffee in a hurry. In other aspects the atmosphere is lively and symbolizes the NY rush. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. Thus, it creates a great atmosphere of rush and help that one needs to get...
