Joseph Austin Playground — Attraction in New York

TL;DR(Too long; Didnt read): Great park. Wide selection of activities. But it smells like weed in the courts and courts are taken most of the time.

First off, this place is great let me tell you that. But this isn't a perfect world and there are negatives to everything, if you're near the courts you'll always smell weed/marijuana that may be a big concern so you may not want to come here. Let me get into the positives though, this playground has a wide array of entertainment for kids off all ages. If your trying to get a pickup game in basketball you'll love to be here. If you've got kids then you can bring them to the playground. If you love handball or racquetball than there is a court for that too. Soccer is no problem here, a huge turf has got you covered, mind you some times there is baseball practice and you wont be able to play on the turf. There is a 3100-mile race going on there, started today and will last for another 51 days. Went there to cheer the runners who are running from 6 am till midnight. Wow! They must run on average 2.5 marathons a day to complete the race on time. Absolutely amazing! I cannot even dream if doing that, let alone running for 52 days to complete...
