This is the best Thai restaurant we've been to in Queens. Probably all of NYC so far. We started off with the mango tango lemonade and lemongrass pandan tea. The mango tango was sweet if you like mango drinks, this is the drink you need to order. The lemongrass pandan was earthy and super refreshing too, they are both my go to drinks from now on. Next we got our appetizers. Money bag was basically a fried wonton dumpling with chicken, corn, peas, water chestnuts, and carrots. It was so crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. The Thai shrimp cakes were crispy and the chopped shrimp had a bouncy texture to each bite. The crab rangoon isn't like any crab rangoon I ever had before. The wonton wrap was crispy and the crab salad on the inside was really good, it pairs so nicely with the deep fried skin. Next came the entrees. We tried pad cha ribeye, it came on a sizzling plate with peppercorn, Thai chilli paste, garlic, fresh basil, peppers. It was delicious and so rich, the hot sizzling plate is always fun. The stewed beef noodle soup was so warm. The broth was herby from all the spices, the noodles were the same noodles from the pho broth, honestly I may have to pick this over pho. It was so flavorful and homey. The broth brought me nostalgic memories. The Khao Mun chicken was also delicious. If you like Hainanese Chicken, you would loveee this dish. It's very similar except the chicken is FULL of flavors, it isn't bland at all. They marinated the skin really nicely. Lastly for dessert we got mango sticky rice. You cant go wrong with mango sticky rice. We were super lucky our mango was so sweet even thought it is no longer mango season. The rice is chewy and the sweet mango compliments it perfectly. There is plenty of street parking here and right by St.Johns too. This is such a lovely spot to come by during your break or after class. Even on the weekend just to hangout with friends and family. We highly recommend checking...
Read moreI got impressed by their food quality and taste authentically, saying as someone Thai born and raised. I cook Thai food myself, growing up eating them 95% of my life. Even though some ingredients are limited to find in the US, the foods are still flavourful. I have my bar on how Thai restaurants prepare their white rice which is a tremendously fundamental part of every Thai dish. You can tell Chill D is doing perfectly here. Their white rice is so fluffy, soft, and fragrant just like it is supposed to be when you eat Thai food. Even though this is a very small part but it’s present how meticulous it is to cook. Thai people are not eating rice with an Al dente texture. We eat them soft, moist, and fluffy and do not stick together. I’m saying this because many Thai restaurants I ordered cook their rice hard, dry, and sometimes still raw! Yes, you heard it right. It’s a big NoNo, you can get a stomach ache. So, please keep this as a red flag.
Chill D Thai food deserves the hype. This is a place to get a real taste of Thai. I also rated they're overall higher than other places. -Drunken noodles are so flavourful, not dry and fragrant. Highly recommend it. -Fresh Ginger over rice. I was most surprised by its authenticity. I’m missing my country so much. It reminded me of when we were eating street food in Thailand. This dish is so healthy and delightful. -Red curry and Green curry. I ordered them delivered at different times. They both were delicious. I kept the leftover curry and boiled Khanom jeen rice noodles to eat with it the next day. It’s da bomb. Please keep up the great work!...
Read moreIt a 2 star because it was edible. But it not acceptable still. I order here all the time. I order the same dish as well. It been more than 7 times. I know what I am suppose to get. It usually fine. Not pleased with tonight food. I am suppose to get broccoli, Red Peppers etc with my Pad Cha Ribeye. It missing things that normally should be there. I open up my food and zero Broccoli and 5 red peppers and onions and two peppercorns. Hardly any vegetables. It seems my ribeye has cut marks In it already made. I find the sauce is more soy sauce and zero Spice. It usually has a kick to it. I don't know who the chef was today or what happened. I spent 37.00 bucks.I basically got nothing for it. It seems my food was rushly made. It my last time ordering from here. I am afraid there is no consistency and this could...
