I've watched the ratings here go down over the years. My own experience with Sushi K Bar is consistent with that trend. This is a result of not investing in long term employees who have a love and commitment to the brand.
The service has always been a problem. It's not because the employees are incompetent, they're just very poorly trained. For example, today I placed an order online. Apparantly, they have several glitches in their new software causing them to not charge me for a .50c add on.
When I arrived to pick up my order I was only then informed that there was an issue. He clearly didn't understand the order format and was prepared to charge me at least $10 more instead of .50c which he didn't end up charging me.
When I asked why they couldn't just call me like they usually do, I was met with an uncomfortable glare and he just proceeded to ask what sauces I want without even the slightest I'm sorry.
Turns out, the fries I ordered were partially raw which deemed them inedible. To conclude, I do not recommend Sushi K Bar. The days when they were top of the line have long since passed.
There are plenty of other sushi spots in the vicinity that'll probably give you better attitude, service...

They have a limited menu available on seamless, but you can call them and find out their daily specials-which are really amazing.
This place is different from many sushi places, in that the focus isn't on classic rolls. Instead, they have a few versions of chirashi--bowls or cups of rice with sashimi or spicy tuna/salmon on top.
I think that they do make typical rolls, but also they specialize in unique rolls that are huge and filled with all kinds of stuff, not commonly found in sushi rolls.
I got the fishermans bowl--a combination of different types of sashimi, veggies, pickles, and flying fish roe--and it was GREAT.
I also really enjoyed the salmon kombu roll that had shredded seaweed and chiles inside. It was really delicious.
Also, and best of all, this place is reasonably priced and right...
Read moreSushi k bar used to be a good place used to have great food everything used to be fresh and rolled nicely now the fish is not as fresh the chef behind the counter doesn't know what he's doing maybe he's getting better he's practicing but the issue is my sushi is falling apart when I pick it up now yeah it's not totally horrible it is good a little bit so I'll give it 2 Stars now if their food begins to taste a little better and the sushi is rolled tighter and they're not so cheap on the mount the right they put on or the amount of fish I'll start going back but when I can get sushi for cheaper from some other places that are also kosher and there's a lot more rice on the roll and A WHOLE LOT MORE FISH THERE'S NO REASON FOR ME TO CONTINUE SHOPPING AT SUSHI K BAR FOR THE SLOPPY ROLLS LACK OF RICE AND...
