UNPROFESSIONAL BITTER ATTITUDES

I would give 0 stars if possible. to start, I sent a request for my birthday cake on 8/2 for a quote and providing my inspo pic, which to me was simple but cute; the same process i've used for the last 4-5 years i've ordered from there. 3 days pass and no answer, i call for an update and they had trouble finding the email. i explained the differences i wanted and what i wanted written (there was a thick orange icing that i explained didnt need to be as thick as the picture with the words THIRTY TWO). the next day i get a call back asking if i wanted anything written on the cake, it was in the email i sent and i said it verbally the day prior, explaining AGAIN what i wanted. pick up was on 8/10 at 12:30 - 2 hours before my event. my fiance went to pick up for me and after 30ish minutes they finally hand him the cake and he facetimed me. (he expressed attitude in the shop was through the roof) i was speechless in the worst way and could not believe that is how they were trying to give me the cake. i wanted a centered "THIRTY TWO" right in the middle of the cake. it looked like a toddler decorated the cake. the writing was top center and SMALL. my fiance doesnt speak spanish so he passed the phone to the worker and i expressed how unhappy i was and requested it be fixed. she pushed back and said it was going to get ruined if they tried to fix it, she said the picture i sent her was a mini cake so thats why the writing looked full on the picture...i was confused because arent they supposed to be artists and creative and use common sense. if the cake is bigger, MAKE THE WRITING BIGGER. how much worse could it get? after pushing back on my request for a few minutes she agreed to make the writing bigger. the 2nd time i was shown the cake it looked even worse and just not the vibe of the cake. i asked her to fill up the space with some hearts at least. EVEN WORSE. the hearts were not placed with any love or creative intention. i went back and forth with the worker expressing how unhappy i was, that ive been a customer for years. so i decided to just take the cake and fix it with my cake toppers.

a minute later my fiance calls me saying that the owner came out and yelled at him to get out and gave him back the money (shorted us $3) and did not hand him over the cake. i call the bakery and i speak to the same worker i was conversing with and she tells me that the owner decided not to give me the cake because i didnt like it !!! aside from the cake looking ugly, i was totally looking forward to eating the cake because it WAS my favorite. I told her who cares if i dont like the decoration i still wanted my cake because i paid for it. she proceeded to tell me that money is not the issue, sometimes the cake doesnt look like the picture (which im fully aware of) she said the owner has taken many cake writing courses and is the best in the shop. so i responded by saying i couldnt believe this was happening hours before my event just because the owner was offended that i didnt like the cake. i was willing to take the cake just because i loved the taste of it. but after treating my fiance the way that they did and how they spoke to me and their EXTREMEMLY POOR customer service. i will never buy a cake from them again and anyone reading this shouldnt either. this is probably the worst customer experience...

First, I would like to start this review by saying this is my first experience with this business. I came here to get a cake for my boyfriend's godson. It was his first birthday and we wanted to get him a nice cake for the occasion.

The order for the cake was placed on a Monday and I requested a 3:30 pick on that Saturday. My one positive experience was discussing my cake designs with the owner who gave me realistic scenarios for our cake design.

I came to pick up the cake on that Saturday an hour after my scheduled time, past experience has shown me that big occasion cakes are never finished on time. I asked for my cake and the gentlemen at the front informed me that the machine they use for the icing broke and as a result there was a delay on delivery. Firstly, I was not called to be informed of this delay. I understand businesses come across issues that are uncontrollable but what a business can control is its communication with the customers. Secondly, this "delay" was a significant one. I tried asking for a time estimation. The man was ambiguous said I could walk around and return in half an hour. I figured I would walk around for a bit then come back when it was ready. I walked around for an hour, called the bakery and asked if the cake was ready. Again, the man said, it would be half an hour more. So instead of taking the bus back, I decided to walk slowly and give them more time. I get to the bakery and ask the young lady for my cake and she informs me it is not ready and that it would be another half an hour. The party started at 6 pm. I got my cake close to 8pm. The design was flawed, to say the least. It look like a cake that was rushed and amateurish. I was disappointed and embarrassed to deliver such a cake for a one year old birthday party. When I finally got to the party and explained our delay and experience at sweet occasions everyone who had used them in the past was not surprised. One woman even said that at one point they were a great business but lately they are a sub par business. Their cakes don't have the care and attention they had in the past.

I will never come back here. I recommend the owner stop taking in so many cake orders and work within the realm of reason. While I was waiting at least 8 people came to pick up their cakes and there was one very big order that was delivered. Furthermore, communicate with your customers. Failure to communicate has made you lose...

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!....I went in on Friday 5/3/13 to order a cake for my son's birthday. It was of a Wwe cake that I saw on their website. A young lady named Danny took my order. I was there for about an hour while she was in the back asking if minor changes I wanted different from the cake were possible. She tells me that it can be done & to email the picture to them but that they don't have the figures to decorate the cake as they have in the picture and for me to find them...Really? (I didn't know that bakeries bake the cake and have the customers decorate it) I called Saturday to see if the email was received. Some lady picks up and while i'm on the phone she's attending others that are in the bakery. She keeps telling me to hold on and continues to attend others speaking into my ear. After 5 minutes of this going on she only puts her attention to me after I start to yell "HELLOOOO YOU'RE ON THE PHONE WITH ME, FINISH WITH ME FIRST!" She tells me that Danny is not there and doesn't know if she will be in later that day or at all and that they don't check emails on the weekend and hangs up. I call on Monday and Danny is still not in but a lady Irene tells me the email was received and my order was put in. Saturday 5/11/13 when I go pick up the cake...THE CAKE WAS WRONG!!! Plus I was informed that Danny was fired because she wasn't a good employee and that's why my cake was wrong. The Happy Birthday was not on the cake at all and where I wanted it to be and wouldn't be able to fit because they put the Wwe logo there, when I specifically told her what I wanted. Extra Wwe logos that I wanted were not there. They put a Wwe Belt and a plastic stand up of 3 wrestlers as decorations flat on the cake instead of being stood up as I requested. I had to wait an extra half hour for them to fix it, which still looked like a mess. They had the nerve to charge me the full price and say that the half hour I waited for them to fix my cake would have been an extra charge and that they weren't charging me for that. First of all, the half hour I waited for them to fix the cake was what I specifically asked for in the first place and that was included in the price. It's not my fault that they are unprofessional and don't know who they are hiring, but I paid in full telling them that I would never order from them again! On top of that the cake had no flavor, only the icing! I'm so disgusting in their...

WHAT A NIGHTMARE! This place has unprofessional employees, I ordered a cake to pick up for my daughters 18th birthday mind you I live 2 states away. When I picked up the cake it was just pink and white they made a little candy coated sign with my daughters name and attached it to the box when I tried removing it to place it on the cake it cracked because some genius taped it to the cake box. On top of that I called to notify them the cake fell apart during my car ride because they failed to put support sticks to avoid sliding. then when I called in to tell them they question me as if I were a child and asked me how was I holding the cake, then I waited for a response they placed me on hold and they told me to forward pics to a cell phone number of the cake which I did and still no response I then called back and they place me on hold for over 30 min. This is by far the worst customer service for a business I ever received my whole life no follow up call no how can I make this a better experience next time no I’m so sorry NOTHING! I been going to this business because I purchased cakes before is almost like they just care about your money and not the experience. I would never have a customer go threw this type of experience if I owned a business. My daughters whole day was ruined I literally had to buy a cake from a local supermarket to make her day better after I spent 55.00 on a cake that was destroyed..

*THEY REFUSED OUR CAKE THE SAME DAY* We have been long time customers for over 10+ years. My sister had ordered a cake for her 32nd birthday and had sent her husband to pick it up. When he went, it literally looked like a child made it. We had sent a picture of what we wanted the cake to look like and it was NOTHING like it. My brother in law doesn't speak Spanish and they were incredibly rude to him so I ended up calling them while he was in the store. The lady explained to me that the owner did the writing and that's what my sister asked for. We went back and fourth as I was asking her to please fix and add stuff to the cake considering she paid $75 and her party was the same day. They attempted to "fix it" but it looked so forced and my sister wasn't happy with it. My sister called back and at this point the owner told her she took several courses for years to 'perfect' her baking. Ultimately she was so offended, she THREW the money paid for the cake at my brother in law, refused to give us the cake, and told him to get out. The flavor of the cake was good which is why we always ordered and referred people here but their attitude is disgusting and we'll never be coming back here again. The cake to the left is what she asked for, on the right is what was given. They should be so embarrassed.
