Taste Buds — Restaurant in New York

So very pleased!!!!....First time customer, the deli is very nice and clean with a big and varied menu along with quick counter service. The young woman behind the counter was very pleasant and efficient.

I was craving an Italian hero but once I saw that they only charged $8.75 for an Italian my expectation level dropped. That quickly changed once I unwrapped the hero and saw an overflowing hero with and abundance of meat and cheese. It was simply delicious. They not only showcase Boar's Head cold cuts in their display case Taste Buds actually uses them in their sandwiches. You can smell and taste the difference immediately. The bread was fresh too and the roasted peppers sweet and flavorful.

Thank you Taste Buds!! not only for the great tasting Italian but for prompting me to write another positive review after I was complelled to write my first ever negative review yesterday after I had one of the worst tasting and easily worst value restaurant purchase I have ever had in my life at a chicken place a few blocks from you.

Nice people. Fast service. BUT -- I order the same thing every time and they always have a habit of messing up my order. I order a turkey bacon/egg/American cheese/avocado on a bagel with salt pepper ketchup. And they always forget the avocado, salt, pepper, and ketchup. :( I've only received my order right maybe twice ever.

I really refrained from writing a review because I hate to write anything that is less than positive but it's been pretty consistent every time for the last few months. But they ARE nice people and I do enjoy how close this is to the train. My suggestion is to have them repeat your order back to you and to say it nice and slowly for them. I think they get thrown off by me asking for turkey bacon instead of regular bacon and so they forget all the other components I ask for. They don't label their orders either so it's hard to remember / know if I got charged extra for missing...

If I could give another star I would. This spot is the best. Friendly and great food. Just the right price for the amount of food. I been going since they opened. Its a blessing to this neighborhood which doesnt have many of these deli close to my house. I'm so happy they opened. Theres another deli like one block away but its no good like taste buds deli. And they are open 24hrs ...also take debit ..credit or cash. They have almost everything you can think of to...
