Taste of Canton廣食堂 — Restaurant in New York

This restaurant is a scam. We are party of 6 adults for dinner tonight. We ordered 8 dishes in total. One of them is Minced Beef Congee 免治牛肉粥. There are barely tiny bit of beef in the congee. We notified the restaurant manager. They said that is the way they serve the beef congee. Another dish is Peking duck 片皮鴨, I ordered half of the Peking duck . they only sliced up 6 pieces of duck and roughly chop off the rest of the duck. This is NOT how you serve Peking duck. They charged $36 for half chop off duck, not the sliced up. We notified the restaurant manager and they disagreed. At the end of dinner, I told their that this is completely rid off and we will NEVER come back to this scam restaurant again. Don't make my mistake, You can definitely pay $18 anywhere for chop off duck instead...

Went there with my family for breakfast. We spent around 90$ and decided to leave a tip of 15% based on the pre-tax total. Two female servers approached us, arguing that our tip was insufficient. I explained that we calculated our tip on the pre-tax total (the suggested tip was calculated on the after-tax amount.), so we refused leave them any extra tip. They were quite rude and dismissive, they pointed and whispered about us and gave us the dirty look as we were leaving.

Overall, the service was disappointing and overshadowed our meal. I cannot recommend this restaurant due to their poor customer service. We weren’t served hot tea or ice water, and our plates weren’t changed during the meal, yet they have the audacity to argue about the 15% tip not...

Even though the food is not bad, the service is unexpectedly poor. This is probably the only HK restaurant in NYC that cheats on the portion of drinks when you ask for no ice and the price is not cheap. They reduce 1/5 of the portion when you get the medium size and almost 1/4 when you get the large size, and they force you to get the large size when dining in by saying medium is only available for takeout. Huh? There were several times that the cashier didn't try to give us back our coin change and we had to ask for it. The lady in the front always gives a bad attitude to the customers and there was a time that the roast duck went bad. There are many options around Bayside and I'm not going back to...
