Tasty House 18 — Restaurant in New York

Been to this cafe for many times. I agree with the other reviewers that some staff working by the cashier have some attitude problem, but I have encountered the nice ones too (I think one of them is the owner). Food comes out slow so do call ahead.

Now onto the food: I have ordered the chicken cutlet with black pepper sauce over rice a few times. The sauce itself is nothing to write home about, but the meat is always marinated well. I have also ordered the pork chop sandwich, the bread itself is ordinary but again the meat is marinated well. I had the sandwich a couple of times and I would always go back for that. They also give you a generous amount of meat.

The food could be a hit or miss, you just need to know what to order and learn from your mistakes, haha. This is a Cantonese style cafe so the staff's main language is, of course, Cantonese.

I would definitely recommend those who haven't gone to this place yet or those who gave this place a bad review to give them a chance. Try the pork chop sandwich with a hot Hong Kong style milk tea WITH LESS SUGAR (Authentic this way). I am sure you...

Flies everywhere, limited seating availability, expensive, doesn't taste good, and takes like 30 min to get a beef chow fun to eat there.

I ordered beef chow fun, the beef was so rough it hurt my throat to swallow, the noodles barely had any oil on them so the noodles were clumpy meaning stick together you pick a noodle and you get like 10 noodles stuck together. That beef chow fun cost like 15 dollars took 30 min oh yeah there was so many raw onion on that order, I took one bite and went to the cashier to ask if there was a new cook? She said yeah the old cook will be back on Sat." That night was a Friday night, You'd figure friday night would be good, but nope, I took one bite and tossed out the rest.

My cousin and sister loves this place, but for me the food is pretty disappointing. I ordered take out, only to bring it home and find a hair right in the soup. I decided to give them a second chance a few weeks later, but im sad to say, it wasnt good either. Im not sure how they washed their carrots but, it tasted like soap. The only reason im not giving this place 1-2 stars is that the bread they have are pretty good and nicely priced compared to the other bakeries in the area.
