Wheel Fun Rentals | FDR Boardwalk at Sand Lane — Local services in New York

Paid $42 - for a Double Surrey (4 seats) for 1 hour. We were 2 Adults & 1 kid and we wanted to ride it on the boardwalk, but not allowed to ride it up or down the ramp. It’s a heavy vehicle and took some time and effort to get it up (and then back down) the ramp. After a short time we figured out it wasn’t for us and decided to bring it back, my wife had an injured ankle and my nephew wasn’t interested in peddling, making it very difficult to operate. When I returned it in 10-15 minutes I was told “Sorry, I can’t refund” as the Representative just smiled and repeated himself ingeniously, while insisting we still have it for an hour or take another bike. $42 gone for nothing and no joy. If I could give a negative 5 … I would! It’s quite the scam when it takes 5-10 minutes to get the vehicle on and off the boardwalk before you know if it’s...

We rented there for our family and I'm really upset with the conditions of the bikes. Please triple check the conditions of the bikes you rent before taking it. It would be amazing if the bikes would be properly cared and maintained by the owners, but they are not. Check the brakes, this is a safety issue, you could seriously get hurt if you are riding down the Boardwalk and you realize you can't stop. Or the pedals are broken and they fall apart while riding. I gave two stars only because the emploee at the cabin that gave us the bikes was very nice...
