Madelaine Chocolate Santa: The Madelaine Chocolate Company was founded in 1949 by brothers-in-law Henry Kaye and Jack Gold. Located in New York City, the founders named the company after a popular Hollywood actress of the time as they thought the name exemplified elegance and sophistication. Some of their mold designs and techniques were learned in the Netherlands and the gorgeous foils used to wrap their chocolates are from Italy (and still used today). I found the milk chocolate to be creamy and flavorful, not to mention detailed nicely to look like Santa. Read moreIt's a chocolate factory that is kind of in the ghetto are of the city that makes a "ghetto" kind [coins/gelt, hollow santas/bunnies and other mostly thematical chocolates] of lower-grade [relative to Godiva, Max Brenner, Ghirardelli and Lind brands] chocolate products but at least they are made in America [not in China or Turkey] and they don't make claims like " World's Finest Chocolate" or "Made from the finest ingredients", so the prpoducts are priced accordingly and are not too bad on a chain pharmacy...
