Place is new, spacious, and well decorated. That is all the positive things I can say about this place. Their service is very lacking (didn't give us spoons to go with our soup buns, didn't take finished plates away, didn't refill our cup of water or tea, didn't check if we received all of our food yet or not). We were a party of 7, the waiter that served us gave our appetizers and one of our entree, and that's it. We thought the kitchen was busy so we waited and waited, until I saw the table next to us who ordered a lot later than us yet received their entree first. That's when I flagged down the waiter to ask what's going on. He actually said he lost our ticket and didn't know about it, then went into the kitchen and woah, all of a sudden, all of our entrees came out. So the waiter lost our ticket, forgot about us, didn't bother to look at our empty table waiting for our food, didn't even notice that all of our food were already done and sitting there in the kitchen. The management in this place as a whole needs...

The first time I visited this restaurant, I dined in for dinner with my family. This time I decided to order take out for 4 types of rice casserole: preserved meat ($11), preserved egg with minced meat ($11), eel ($14.50), poached egg with beef ($11) and double skin milk ($6.99). My review will only be for the poached egg with beef and the double skin milk. There was more rice than the protein components and only 2 strands of vegetables so that was a bit disappointing. The taste wasn’t bursting in flavor but I did not feel super dehydrated after eating it, which means they do not use a lot of MSG, if any. The rice was crunchy at some parts and had some sauce in it. It did taste a bit bland towards the end when I only had rice left so the ratio per portion is a bit off. I would recommend the double skin milk although a bit pricy for the portion. The texture is very silky and smooth. The taste is just the right amount of sweet. It’s not super sweet...
Read moreGave this place a try since it's fairly new and we see it every time we go to HL Supermarket. Overall, we had a pretty good first experience. We were greeted as we walked in and sat down. We were provided hot tea right away, and the menu for us to choose. The staff were friendly (extra if you also speak Cantonese/Mandarin) and helped provide the descriptions of the dishes we had questions on.
We got the Tiawanese Fried Chicken, which is a classic dish in Taiwan, and honestly, the flavors were pretty good. It was just missing the fried basil to top it off. We also got the Roasted Duck Noodle Soup and that tasted really good. Although the duck they gave us was almost all fat so that was a bummer.
Generally, we had a good experience, and we're definitely willing to come back to try the other dishes like the Roasted Pork and the...
