Yard with Style — Restaurant in New York

Very disappointed by the consistent rudeness here. Today was just another example — the woman at the counter served two people ahead of me in line with no issues. While she was still helping the second person, she abruptly looked at me and said, “No card.” I responded politely that I had a $100 bill in my car, and she immediately said, “No change.”

She never mentioned any of that to the man she was helping — only to me. If she had said the same thing to everyone, I wouldn’t feel disrespected. But she singled me out, and it was clear. My friends and I ordered food from this establishment yesterday after a stroll in the park.

We were hungry as heck. We waited patiently for our food only to be disappointed.

First of all there was no utensils in our bag! Where are supposed to ear with our hands.

We checked off send utensils and there were no napkins and no forks.

Secondly, the we paid nearly $15.00 dollars for a lunch special elsewhere.

We asked for a little gravy on the oxtail and as you can see by the picture below. The only thing that was serve unlimited was the darn rice.

The rice was hard. The oxtail were anorexic. The cabbage was greasy...

So I took my wife out for her first Caribbean breakfast experience. We went to Yard style restaurant on flatlands Avenue. admittedly the food is delicious so that part went great. However the shiftiness of the business and the owner plus the manager makes it a questionable site. They don’t have a steady price chart and the prices seem to fluctuate at will. They stole from me by way of a $10 overcharge on my card. And as if that wasn’t enough the cashier attempted to get another $10 in cash out of my pocket. I paid $35 for a $20 meal....
