Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Newark

DON’T EVEN BOTHER WITH THEM! Where do I begin? I placed an order at 8:40pm (had to do over the phone because there website has been not working for several weeks). I explained i wasn’t at the delivery site and was ordering for others and told them who to ask for. They told me 30-35 minutes. Having ordered here before, i know that really means an hour. About 9:50 i got a call from The delivery driver saying to come outside he was here...i explained I wasn’t there and he had to go inside he grumbled and made noises I couldn’t understand. I kept saying hello? Hello? And a few seconds later he hung up on me. At 10:30 i for a call (almost two hours after I ordered) saying the pizza still wasn’t there. I called the delivery driver back multiple times and he didn’t answer. I called the store the lady was very nice and apologetic and said they would remake the order. At 12:00 the pizza STILL wasn’t there! At this point the place i was ordering was closing so I called the store to cancel the order and explain what happen the guy on the phone said whoaaaaaaaaaaaa whatttttttt I’m sorry. It was clear the pizza was never remade. The group did not eat dinner because of the carelessness of this location. I work in the food industry and know sometimes things happen but this is completely ridiculous. I’ve always had minor errors with this store but nothing major and nothing to call about but over 3 hours waiting for food that never even came is completely unacceptable. I ordered the pizza at 7:40 PM, and after sometime when the order tracker was not updating. I called the Domino's at 8:20 pm and asked what was taking so long (eta was 20-30 min) and a worker, Rebecca, told me my order was entered at 8:07 pm and it just left the store at 8:22 pm. Shortly there after, my pizza was marked as delivered at 8:34 pm and I went outside to get the pizza. 10 minutes later, I called the Domino's and asked where the pizza was and was told to wait 5 more minutes. I called and asked the same worker for a manager, was put on hold, then while introducing myself was put on hold by someone else, and then asked the first worker for the manager again, was put on hold, and then asked for a manager the third time. I was then told that the manager was not available. She asked what is wrong, and I asked why it took over an hour for my order to be fulfilled and it has been ten minutes since it was marked as completed. She did not have a direct answer, so I asked why she was artificially changing the numbers to make the store look better. She claimed that she did not know what I was talking about, to which I asked who should I talk to know? She told me to ask the driver when he gets there, but I know that this was not going to solve anything. Especially since I already paid the order with my card. Even just a simple apology would have sufficed, but the fact that no one wanted to take responsibility for the inconvenience is what I have a...

This was a frustrating experiense. I forgot to take the name of the person I ordered with. I called dominos on Niagara st. Newark, NJ and ordered a Margherita Pizza, I asked to have chicken added to it. When my delivery arrived I got a regular pie with chicken. I'm always easy to deal with, never really complain, I used to be a server when I was young and I know people make mistakes but what I didn't like was the atitude of the person who took my order, very careless, confusing. I called back and asked if perhaps he had sent me the wrong order and he said, "No, that's what you ordered". Then asked him. Do you know what a Margherita Pizza is? "No I'm not sure what it is". So instead I decided to ask him in a different way. Do you have Thin crust pizza? (Yes) Fresh tomatoes? (Yes) Fresh mozzarella? (I think we have that) Basil? (I don't think so, I don't know what that is). Wait a minute? You don't know what Basil is? "No, we don't have that here, I think, look nobody orders that here". I said he shouldn't be on the phone taking orders. "I've been working here for 2 years and no one has ever ordered that before".
