Fetter's Dairy Isle — Restaurant in Newark

Let me preface this by saying that normally 98% of the time we have good food and good service. We look forward to the opening every year. We decided to get footlongs, cauliflower and malted tonight. My husband wasn't sure if the girl working the cash register was on her first day or what. However. Our order had to be repeated four times. Our orders of cauliflower were so small that both put together did indeed make one order. The gal at the register questioned my husband if a malt was such a thing. Then not believing him she turned around and asked the other girls...who were not interested in helping her or other customers and too involved on their phones, she had to ask them if malts were a real thing. She also had no idea of how to help the next customer who only wanted two large twists. He had to point out how to use the machine. He and my husband were polite with her but couldn't believe that no management was there to help and that none of the other staff would help. Hopefully this was a one time thing.

You better teach the girls the difference between a quart and a pint container. They charged me what they said was a quart in a pint container..i then asked for the larger container which I know was a quart. So they charged me pint price for a container that was a quart container. Im 72 years old and know the difference. Between a pint and a quart.They argued with me that the smaller pint container was a quart. Your losing money on the real quart size if they concider that a pint. Needs some training on them unless the price on the pint one is being charged as a quart then they are cheating the customer. Either way. I wasnt gonna argue with them but dont they know the difference between the size of a pint and a quart? Icecream was good tho. Been here before and didnt have a problem. Just stop in tonight with my 3 small kiddos ( 7, 2 & 4mo old) ordered 2 sandwiches a small fry 2 cones and a blue raspberry slush. We ate outside and I waited on my kids to finish eating and before leaving I took my slushy back in, I only had to sips out of it, it tasted awful definitely was off tasting ( I normally order this) I asked if I could trade it out for something else and the worker said no since I already drank out of it...I asked if she would make herself the same drink and tell me what it taste like. She did and then said they changed the brand on the syrup and still said she couldn't do anything to help me. I work in customer service and I know everywhere has problems. Wish they had a better solution. I was disappointed 😞 and sadly won't be going back...
