Frank’s Pizzeria & Restaurant — Restaurant in Newark

Unfortunately, this place is not as good as it used to be. It seems that they only care about their walk in customers. If you go into the store, the pizza is pretty decent, but DO NOT ORDER DELIVERED PIZZA! I've been patronizing this place since I moved to Newark over three years ago. My first few experiences were in the shop, and many of my subsequent experiences have been delivery, as I only live about 8 blocks away. I have been in the store a few times since, and always had a good experience, but my delivery experiences have always been bad. My top complaints are as follows: WRONG ORDER DELIVERED! (8 out of 10 orders are wrong.) store manager doesn't give credit or any type of compensation for this. Most other places will deliver again with correct order or issue you some kind of credit on future purchase, but this place basically says, "oh well, sorry, bye". TERRIBLE CUSTOMER CARE. OVERCOOKED OR UNDERCOOKED ORDER. Either the order arrives with undercooked pizza that is shifted to one side because the driver took some corners fast and all the ch eese was on one side, or the pizza was just too overcooked/burned. Either way, it really turned me off. If it wasn't because we were hungry at the time, it wouldn't even have been palatable. PRICE. we have ordered the same order multiple times over a few weeks and the price seems to change as they feel like it. The price difference could be $. 50 or $4.00 and you never get an explanation. If ordered the same thing multiple times and seen the price go UP and DOWN for no discernable reason. Again, bad customer service.

Generally, the experience is very inconsistent. I will try other places from now on. It's just not worth it if they can't provide consistent service or at least price.

Sorry, but Frank's is no longer going to be my go"to place. At least with domino's, you know what you're getting and you don't have to pay extra for it.

Ordered a chicken francese with the pasta on the side. When i opened the multi-order package at home, my CF consisted of a dry pasta with a lemon-y flavor (not steaming hot, mind you) and a 2 egg-batter-coated chicken breast slices (not the full plump breast, they were the flattened version, either through hammering or sliced that way before cooking). All the CF I've ever ordered always had a creamy lemon-y sauce with it, but this was bone dry. I called the restaurant back and told them about the order, and the person-in-charge tried to get around it by saying that that's how it was made! Really! If I hadn't cooked it from a recipe myself in times past and not ever ordered it from other restaurants, i might have believed him, but just his bad luck, neither were true. He then offered to replace it with alfredo or penne vodka, and when i asked why they couldn't just make the francese sauce, he completely ignored the question. I finally gave up and replaced it with the chicken in alfredo sauce, which was barely edible as one could tell it came directly from some no-name jar. As i thought of these events, it dawned on me that Alfredo sauce and penne vodka sauce are available in pre-made jars! I've never seen francese sauce in any food store! Maybe that's why!

Anyway, watch out all u CF fans out there, this is a place one can hope to NEVER need to go to! (The fried calamari smelled bad even before the first bite. I couldn't get myself to eat it and i just threw away...

We went there once and the pizza was good came back a second time and had a dinner and it was OK came back a third time and the customer service was so bad I couldn't even stand to stay. The waitress gave me an attitude when I asked her to clean the table she told me to wait!!!! As I sat down she came and sprayed cleaner all over before I could even get up and sprayed me. I mentioned your supposed to have patrons get up and your not supposed to spray directly on the table getting chemicals on their condiments and napkins on the table!!!! She yelled you asked me to clean the table I'm cleaning it and rolled her eyes I asked for a mngr and he didn't seem to care the men behind the counter have a problem looking at a woman respectfully as if they never seen a woman before!!!! I JUST ORDERED A LARGE PIE W BACON AND ONIONS FOR DELIVERY AND THE PIZZA IS UNDERDONE!!!! just not good looks like they used bacon bits ???? Never AGAIN !!!! SPENT 30 DOLLARS ON A PIE AND ITS UNDERDONE SMH...
