J&V Grill Restaurant Cafeteria — Restaurant in Newark

The food is good but costumer service is not good at all when my order was taken I had ask the waiter to bring me a coffee and bread before my food she never did so i told another waiter that since my food was almost coming to forget about the bread and coffee he was nice trying to convince me to get it then after that the waitress came she didnt even apologized she said she had forgotten and told her i didn't wanted my bread and coffee bc my food was almost at the table she was rude by making a coment she said ""you mean you don't want the bread and coffee because you don't want to get any fatter right?"" I almost walked out of there but i didnt want to be rude. like she was I stayed calm as i was leaving i asked to talk to the manager but one of the waiters told me he wasn't there ..I still come to this place since my husband is Ecuadorian and is really one of the few places that has good food from hes country but honestly I'm not comfortable anymore..the owner needs to do better training...

Food is good most of the time, the ambiance is just ok, but the service is usually either mediocre or really bad. The weirdest experience I had here was a while ago when one of the waitresses tried to charge me $60 for 3 dishes of $15 each, which obviously comes out to $45, not $60 ( this separate from other dishes and taxes) when I asked about this, instead of admitting the mistake, the lady acted fool and tried to convince me that 15X3=60. At the end of an awkward 5 minutes explaining the "error" she said "sorry" and corrected the bill. Besides that, staff sometimes takes to long to get your order and sometimes forgets something you asked for. So the food is good but dealing with the staff is what keeps me from coming to this...

I feel bad rating 2 stars, but the only issue here is the waitresses. Specially the lady name Jessica. She always on her mood and treat customers so rude. Basically she thinks that she is doing you a favor but is not. One day I ordered by phone and came with my Grandpa to show him the place and how good it is the food. I asked her If she can serve the food please. Ans her response was totally unprofessional she said: “You need to be consider with the waitress and don’t waste our time”.
