HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We ordered catering for a repass and the food came an HOUR late. The driver who showed up didn't know what was going on and had food sloppily spilled all over his backseat. By the time the food arrived, half of the mourners had left because everyone was STARVING and getting upset. We had over 100+ people waiting for food and most never got to eat!! When the food did arrive late, it was lukewarm, the collared green juice was leaking from the pan and spilling all over the car and the floor. We never received a phone call with an explanation, an apology, to offer us money back or ANYTHING. When we did go back to the restaurant, the owner had every excuse in the book and instead of just being professional, taking responsibility, admitting their mistake and doing what is right, said, "Things happen." Thats not what someone wants to hear after burying a loved one and trusting a vendor that did not do their job for a very important event. This was a horrific experience. DO...
Read moreThis used to be my favorite restaurant hands down but then... I went in one evening and the lady that took my order had the most drab personality and a seemingly poor attitude toward islam and/or muslim peoples.(she was a nonmuslim working in a muslim dominated facility so there may have been a little animosity on her part) I in my talkative self (being raised Christian but respectful of others right to chose) stated I prefer not to divulge in man made religions but have a very strong belief in God and treat others as I like to be treated. I ordered fried chicken I requested be it fried soft not hard because it was for my grandmother. THE CHICKEN WAS HORRIBLE AND NEITHER ONE OF US COULD EAT THE GREASE LADENED HARD AND DRY PIECES. WE SPENT OVER 20 DOLLARS FOR CHICKEN THE DOG WOULD NOT EVEN EAT. IF ANOTHER PERSON VIEWS DETERMINE THE WAY YOU SERVE THEM YOU ARE IN THE WRONG BUSINESS. I will be putting Kings on the very bottom of my...
Read moreVisiting the original King's Family Restaurant on Lyons Ave was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped in, the warm ambiance welcomed us, setting the stage for an exceptional dining experience. The food was simply divine; each dish bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. But what truly set this place apart was the impeccable service. Angie, the owner, and her nephew, our server, went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and taken care of throughout our meal. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor made us feel like valued guests, leaving a lasting impression. It's no wonder I've decided to make this gem of a restaurant a regular dining spot. Truly, there's something special about the original King's Family Restaurant on Lyons Ave that sets it apart from the rest. I truly missed this place. Much better tasting food and service than the fake Kings on...
