Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Newark

Thanks so much to Ashley and her team here at this Popeyes. I often come to this Popeyes and usually don't have any issues. last time I went and bought a family meal, we later realized when we got home that there were two pieces missing. I'm sure it was an honest mistake because it was a very busy night so I didn't want to make a big deal about it and we just did without the missing two.

Fast forward 2 weeks later on a Sunday, me & my dad arrived to make an order, and I spoke to Ashley at the front desk.

After making my order & paying, I let her know; I'm not complaining, but last time I ordered, I was missing a couple of pieces of chicken, and was only asking if the team could just double check that I have the right amount today before adding. She was very understanding, and not only gave us a few soda's while we waited on the house, but also gave us extra chicken and was so nice about it! We didn't ask for anything extra, (the food missing from last time) nor did we expect it. She did it out of the kindness of her heart and that's a gesture you almost never hear of here in jersey, and I'm truly humbled by the gesture

I don't usually leave reviews, especially in fast food restaurants, but Ashley seriously did such an amazing job and went above and beyond in customer service. I would give 10 stars if I could! It's not about the extra food I got, it's the principal of the situation, her handling of it and the customer service and on top of that, it's not something she had to do or was even expected and that's honestly so rare that I had to make a review about it! This place is bad most of everyone that works there has an attitude. It doesn’t matter if you go through the drive through or inside you will be greeted with an attitude. I recently order online through doordash thinking it would be better so I won’t have to go in and deal with them but instead they told my doordash guy that the food was already delivered. Lucky I had a doordash Deliver who still came to my house to check to see if I got the order. When I called the store they explained to me that they actually ran out of most of what I ordered and that I should just cancel my order so I can get a refund. I asked the guy why didn’t anyone call me to tell me that they couldn’t complete my order and he said “oh because we didn’t have your phone number” now anyone who orders online knows that they always ask for your number Incase the driver or the store needs it. Diferent seasoning on the fries at this location. Yes, don't say its not because it is and its GOOD!

We have had Popeyes chicken with the Cajun friens recently in Rochester NY - Canton MA - Nashua NH - and Union NJ delivered from 3 different locations.

We found this location one day because all of our local stores in Union were closed and when you want Popeyes nothing else will do. We have eaten from this location 3 times now and there is no doubt, the fries from THIS location have a little different taste to them and that taste is better than every other location mentioned above.

4 states, at least 6 various locations, and at every other location the fries tasted exactly the same. At this location the Cajun Fries have a slightly different taste yo them and this is the ONLY location I will eat the fries from!

Their chicken is top notch just like the rest!
