McDonald's — Restaurant in Newark

I've been coming to this location since I was a little kid. Something has definitely happened since their renovation. ( Which, btw ... is a depressing gray, "institutional" feel. ) I stop here 6X a week for breakfast on my way to work. Lately, it's ALWAYS new employees, and there are always things missing from my order, or just completely off. On my last visit, I told them of the missing food item from the day before, and the manager just said, " oh well, too bad. Be sure to check your order entirely before you leave." Well, maybe she's right, but stopping for breakfast shouldn't be so tedious or hard. And, truthfully, you could tell they really didn't care if I was happy or not, or even if I would return or not.

I did discover MOM'S KITCHEN , just a few blocks away on Sanford Ave by Mnt. Vernon. There's even a real mom! lol For the same price as McD's ( now that this restaurant's prices have gone up 50% since the renovation ) you can get a freshly made Taylor Ham Egg & Cheese ( or whatever ) and a coffee for LESS than McD's... and you're supporting a real, family owned local biz! So far, MOM'S...

I honestly don’t even want to give this place 1 star. Ordered an extra value meal and chicken nuggets thru Uber eats last night. The order arrived very late with no fries and ice cold. Luckily Uber eats honors errors like that and issued a partial refund. The real fun started this morning. Woke up with horrible stomach pains and the entire day I’ve been sick in the bathroom. I just called to speak to a manger and the rude employee said there’s no manager there until the morning. Shouldnt there be a manager there all the time?? Thankfully I saved the packaging everything came in and am going to have to take a trip to urgent care in the morning if I’m not feeling better with the cartons the food came in so they can test it. This is ridiculous and from the numerous comments about this place they should definitely be checked into! Had I known how bad they were I would have never ordered from here. Worst experience ever!!!! I will be reporting this, it’s unfair to have to trust a place that obviously doesn’t train their employees well enough for these things...

Asked for the 2 for something breakfast sandwiches! Was told it was available. Ordered it. Instead of costing $4 or $5 something was charged almost $8. I got ripped off!!!I was in a hurry and did not have time. I asked about the price and the person did not seem to understand my question. Besides, the managers at this location are not competent nor cordial, that's why you are getting this survey! If I wanted to spend $8 dollars I could have went to White Castle, Burger King, or Dunkin Donuts!!! And still have change lefts!!!! You do not value your customers!!! You renovated this store but do not have a monitor that shows the customer's order!!!Poor management, poor ownership, poor training!!!

Secondly, if your change is less than a dime, this location does not give the correct change back!!! Kind of insulting! Do you really think people who come here cannot count or something? You serve billions but you do not "serve" customers their correct change. You rip them off!! Cannot and will not recommend this McDonald's at all!! A waste of time...
