When Lakehouse Pizza first moved into this location I was excited. It was great pizza, with consistency every Friday. It quickly became our households new weekly favorite. This has not been the case the past three times I’ve been here and it’s disappointing. When I’ve called I’ve been greeted with a lethargic hello, one time I had to ask if this was Lakehouse Pizza because I thought I called a random person who did not want to take the call. The consistency of the pizza from the amount of sauce, thickness of crust to taste has greatly been different. The past two times I’ve gone, the pizza has not been cut & I had to do it myself. Photos are from 6.6.2025. It appears they go about 40% through the crust. Judging from the lackluster & lethargic demeanor of the person taking calls or the person that sits in the corner listening to music as others work (I think this is the cutter) it’s not surprising. The drink cooler doesn’t seem to have been stocked in over a month. They are out of most everything and each week it gets less & less. With all this, and as unfortunate as it is, I probably won’t be returning.

Ordered a large half cheese/half pepperoni and a cauliflower crust pepperoni and sausage. The half cheese/half pepperoni was overcooked and make the crust too "cardboard-y". The taste of the pepperoni was good with a little bit of kick. The sauce was okay and same with the cheese but I also noticed inconsistent cheese on the entire pizza. Some of the cheese side was burnt a little too much on the top. Cauliflower crust overall was good not the best we had but better than some. Overall it was just okay and may give it a chance again if they can fix the overcooking. I would definitely do extra cheese as well. Also it's not a thing crust and would compare it more to a pub style pizza. Take out order took 20 mins from order to pick up.

The pizza is definitely one of the best in Newark. The pepperoni is delicious and sausage doesn’t have the gritty taste to it. Have patience as this place is just opening and have been really busy lately. Enjoy you dinner.

Lake house pizza here in Newark has quickly become mine and my family’s new favorite pizza place in town! After two pregnancies and now a third on the way, I can absolutely NOT handle any pizza sauce on my pizza and Lakehouse has been the only restaurant to not mess up our order. I know it’s not technically “pizza” and may just be cheesy garlic bread with pepperoni, but this momma’s lack of heartburn is incredibly grateful! I was born and raised on the west side of Columbus and had yet to find the type of pizza I grew up with here in Newark that wasn’t a chain and find a pizza joint that didn’t consistently mess up our order. Thank you to all of the staff for being so amazing and...
