Nick (aka Juan) is truly a lovely human being - and runs a fantastic business.
A friend and her family of 6 in the neighborhood had a health emergency and some of us wanted to send her family a meal. I called multiple places - one hung up on me, several said no to delivering (even if I paid extra and the address was a block away, etc).
When I found Nick’s Luncheonette through a Google search, Nick himself answered and truly could not have been kinder or more helpful and patient. Nick said of course he would like to help the family, he offered(!) to walk the whole order over to our friend’s house himself - and he even added in soups and salads for the whole family at no extra charge.
The family is so appreciative of all of the food - and truly loved everything. We are all grateful to have found a terrific business, fantastic cook and kind person at such a difficult time. We highly recommend Nick’s...
Read moreUpdate... Juan is a the kind of person you want making your food. He made all the food for my daughters birthday. Everyone is full and complemented the food.... I asked Juan to make some food for a construction crew doing work at my house. Pernil, chicharrones, empanadas, and rice with beans. After lunch, there was nothing left. The few pieces of food left were quickly wrapped up so these hard-working people could take it home and enjoyed it later. It's a good day if I can enjoy...

Within this tiny establishment is a crafty chef that appeases his menu daily. The oversized homemade muffins are a must try and normally my go to unless something else catches my eye. You will not typically find the same dishes twice in the same week. Their beef stew has become one of my favorites meals and I will be on the lookout when it becomes available again!
