The vibes are RANCID. The coffee may be slightly better, but every time I leave this place I have a bad taste in my mouth no matter what. I’ve held off on posting until now.
It seems like they don’t want customers to be there because they are curt and watch you closely as if you will disrupt the space. Accordingly, it feels like all of the food is for display purposes. E.g. all pastries are wrapped and under covers, and I’m not sure why they have an Easter bunny on display in June, but I wouldn’t stop and look too close because I feel like I’m being surveiled by an employee who doesn’t even say hello, just waits for me to order. The records are “for display only” and the eponymous Tunes are being played over Bluetooth, so no records are spinning here.
Anyway, like I said, I’ve given them several chances because of their convenience to my workplace. But here’s where i draw the line — THERES RECORD BREAKING HEAT TODAY AND THEY HAVE NO A/C ON. AND THEY SHRUGGED IT OFF. Theres a door only on one end which I had to hold open as I waited for my coffee, which they placed on the counter, didn’t bring to me. When I walked to the counter in the stifling (in more ways than one) space, I said, “wow, this is dangerous. People have health issues and it’s hotter in here than outs—.” The person at the counter shrugged nonchalantly, interrupting me, “it’s the whole building.” Yet the mailroom and security desk on the other side of the building were comfortably cooled… absolutely...
Read moreRead moreI live in Pavilion Apartments and needed to leave my apartment due to mandatory painting. I ordered a hot chocolate and a muffin, this Saturday morning. The woman was very rude, saying I had to leave because I had exceeded my time limit- 2hrs. The place was empty. I could empathize if other people were waiting for seats, but this was clearly not the case. I don't plan on making any more purchases here. This was a very unpleasant experience. I'm editing this- just so you know that the owner is a liar. I was not bothering other customers- there were no customers besides myself. I burped once- not a reason to throw someone out, not a crime, if she was closer and there were other customers I would have said 'excuse me'. She also lied about accommodating me for 3hrs in the past. It is true that I have made similar purchases in the past 34 days but I did not not sit there for over 2 hrs. The only reason I sat there for longer than usual is as I said before my apartment was undergoing a mandatory painting. To sit another hour after the 34 days worth of business I've given this establishment- isn't too much to ask. If it is, it isn't worth patronizing, nor is any other establishment that treats customers like...
After passing by and looking in the window with the torn paper for weeks, now the coffee shop is total exposed and ready for customers. Music playing, not loud. Not crowded in the AM hour I've arrived, GREAT! I haven't tried the food yet, but i dont doubt its freshness and delicious. The atmosphere is good, havent spent a time there. You know pull out the laptop, etc. The customer service is excellent. I had a MACCHIATO with milk...OH IT WAS GREAT! Not overly sweet like some MAJOR COFFEE SHOP! Yea, those guys! I also had a FRESH BLUEBERRY MUFFIN The prices for what I saw are very very decent for a neighborly neighborhood coffee shop. Wont break your APPLE PAY or GOOGLE PAY wallet! LOL!
