I had one of the worst dining experiences of my life at Fan Tang Asian Cafe, and I feel it’s my responsibility to warn others about the risks of eating here. After dining at this restaurant, I suffered severe food poisoning that was so bad I ended up in the emergency room. What should have been an enjoyable meal turned into a nightmare, and it has completely destroyed my trust in this establishment.
The food here is anything but fresh. Many of the dishes seem pre-made and are loaded with food additives and artificial flavors, giving them a processed, unnatural taste. These shortcuts not only compromise the flavor but also raise serious concerns about food safety. Instead of nourishing your body, these dishes could cause serious harm, as they did to me.
Adding to the problem, I suspect the glowing reviews on Google might not paint an honest picture of this restaurant. It’s important to keep in mind that online reviews can sometimes be manipulated or biased, so don’t rely solely on them when deciding where to eat. My experience couldn’t have been more different from what some of the reviews describe.
Fan Tang Asian Cafe seems to prioritize cutting corners and maximizing profits over serving fresh, safe, and authentic food. If you care about your health and well-being, please stay far away from this place. There are plenty of better dining options where you won’t have to risk your safety just to enjoy a meal.
Stay vigilant, and don’t let potentially misleading reviews lead you to a terrible experience like mine.

Read moreCame here since we heard it just opened in our neck of the woods. Ordered the baby back rib noodles, the toothpick lamb, and the minced pork mixed noodles. The mixed noodles were a tad on the salty side but the soup noodles were both very good. The tooth pick lamb especially was very tender and my personal favorite. You order off the QR code and the food gets delivered to you. Everything else is self serve. Not sure if tipping is expected but it does default to 20% tip when you check out. Now, I’m not exactly sure what you’re tipping for since you pour your own water and get your own bowls and utensils. They do seat you, bring you the food, and bus your table so I tipped 10%. I felt like that was fair. There was one person at the front of the house the entire time we were there so staffing is at a bare minimum. Prices were reasonable for this area. We got 4 dishes and ended up paying $70 including tax and tip. Would come back if we didn’t feel like...
Read moreOf the three times I've gotten food here, nothing has been excellent. The communication skills are mediocre. The decor is almost non-existing and there's a TV blaring--not a place you want to sit and enjoy a meal. The last time in June, there was a dish advertised as a "special" on the sandwich board outside (so forgettable, honestly can't remember what and it seems to be off the menu now). So I ordered as take out, he didn't mention a time to pick up (and I didn't push, perceiving a discomfort with English). I went off to do a little grocery shopping at returned at 25 minutes, no food. I stood there a good 5 minutes before I had to approach the counter and wait for someone to come out. He announced "Well, we have to make it from frozen, so it takes a while." Another 7-8 minutes, hitting almost 40 minutes. Entirely preventable. Why on earth did he not mention the time issue when I was ordering? Three...
