My friend and I passed this place on the way to the trail and we wanted to check it out, and it turned out it's the nursery/produce store that I found on Google the night before. It's actually larger than I thought with a good selection of trees (maple/fruit trees), outdoor plants, and indoor plants. We even saw a hummingbird having a good time in the greenhouse xD! The price on the fruit trees are decent, and some of them are already producing fruits. The produce looks fresh as well with a lot of interesting fruits that I rarely see elsewhere. I got a lemon drop melon to try, and it was quite interesting.

The downside of this place is that there are only two registers, and they don't really show you the price per lb they used, so it's easy to make mistakes on their end. If you are a careless person who doesn't like to spend over 10-15 minutes waiting in line to check out, I recommend you skip this place since the traffic is high even...

Love this place for many years we live in Newcastle. All produce for the most part is fresh and great quality except for pickling cucumbers. If you love to eat them fresh, add to your salad or to pickle, you better get them somewhere else unfortunately. They never look fresh at least this season. I brought my concern to the person who in charge of this and have been argued instead of listening and somewhat agree. Truly, I would google to learn how to keep picking cucumbers fresh at least for a day when put them out to sell. Unfortunately this is not in the interests for Newcastle Fruit & Produce. I have been offered not to buy it from them! But I like everything else and still want to get my fruits and veggies even though the price sometimes x3 than at Safeway. Hopefully the owner will...

Horrible customer service! I'm so bummed about this review because up until this incident, I liked this place. But one day we visited, at 4:55pm (5 minutes before closing) looking for a pot for a plant. We were literally running around in there, knowing they were going to close, and I ran up on a short and older woman. Before I could even halt, she barks out "We close in 5 minutes!" My daughter and I just looked at her in disbelief. She never said "hi" or "Can I help you? We DO close in 5 minutes.." nothing. Essentially, she chased us out of there. We were trying to have a good day, during the clamps of COVID, but this woman made us feel unwelcome and unappreciated! Wow.. what an experience. Had to share that... no one should leave a business like...
